4.2 Using the Storage Drawers
- The two pull-out drawers are designed for convenient storage of items such as bedding, blankets, clothes, or books.
- To open, gently pull the handle. The smooth-rolling wheels allow for easy movement.
- To close, push the drawer back under the bed frame until it is fully recessed.
- Do not overload the drawers. Each drawer has a weight capacity of 55 lbs.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the bed frame and drawers with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the finish.
- Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as necessary to maintain stability and prevent squeaking.
- Drawer Wheels: Keep the drawer wheels free of debris to ensure smooth operation.
- Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the bed frame to extreme humidity or direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as this may affect the wood.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Bed Frame Squeaks
- Ensure all bolts and screws are fully tightened. Loose connections are a common cause of squeaking.
- Check that the plywood slats are properly seated and not rubbing against the side rails.
- Verify the bed frame is on a level surface.
6.2 Drawers Do Not Slide Smoothly
- Check the wheels for any trapped debris (e.g., carpet fibers, dust). Clean if necessary.
- Ensure the drawers are not overloaded, exceeding the 55 lbs weight capacity.
- Verify that the drawers were assembled correctly and are not misaligned.
6.3 Mattress Slides on Frame
- The embedded platform design is intended to minimize mattress movement. Ensure the mattress is correctly sized for a twin bed (38" x 75").
- Consider placing a non-slip mat between the mattress and the slats if sliding persists.
