Setup
1. Battery Installation
Insert the 1200mAh Li-ion battery pack into the back compartment of each walkie talkie. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
2. Attaching Belt Clip
Attach the provided belt clip to the rear of the walkie talkie using the included screws. A small Phillips head screwdriver (not included) may be required.
3. Charging the Battery
The FR1 walkie talkies support two charging methods:
- Desktop Charger: Place the walkie talkie into the desktop charging base. Connect the USB charging cable to the base and a compatible USB power source.
- USB-C Direct Charging: Connect the USB-C charging cable directly to the Type-C port on the walkie talkie. This allows charging via a portable power bank, laptop, or car charger.

4. Attaching Earphones
Plug the provided earphone into the dedicated port on the side of the walkie talkie. The earphone includes a push-to-talk (PTT) button for hands-free communication.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off and Volume Control
Rotate the top-most knob clockwise to power on the walkie talkie. Continue rotating to adjust the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise until a click is heard to power off.
2. Channel Selection
Rotate the second knob (channel selector) to choose one of the 16 preset FRS channels. Ensure all communicating parties are on the same channel for successful transmission.
3. Push-to-Talk (PTT)
Press and hold the large PTT button on the side of the walkie talkie to transmit your voice. Release the button to listen for incoming transmissions.
4. VOX (Voice Operated Exchange)
The FR1 supports VOX for hands-free operation. When activated, the radio will automatically transmit when it detects your voice. This feature can be configured via software.

5. Built-in Flashlight
The walkie talkie includes a small LED flashlight for convenience in low-light conditions. Refer to the device's buttons for activation.

Maintenance
