Setup and Installation
The gate can be installed using two methods: Pressure Mount or Hardware Mount.
1. Pressure Mount Installation (For doorways and hallways, not for top of stairs)
- Unpack all components and identify the main gate frame and any extension panels.
- Insert the pressure mount bolts into the four corners of the gate frame.
- Place the gate in the desired opening. Ensure the gate is level and centered.
- Rotate the adjustment wheels on the pressure mount bolts until the gate is snug in the opening.
- Tighten the bolts evenly until the gate is securely held in place. The gap between the gate frame and the wall should be minimal.
- Test the gate's stability by pushing and pulling on it. It should not move.
2. Hardware Mount Installation (Recommended for top of stairs, or for added security)
- Determine the desired location for the gate.
- Attach the wall cups to the wall using the provided screws. Ensure they are level and at the correct height for the gate.
- Insert the pressure mount bolts into the gate frame and place the gate into the wall cups.
- Tighten the bolts evenly until the gate is securely mounted.
- Test the gate's stability.

Operating the Gate
Opening the Gate
The gate features a two-step locking handle designed for adult operation with one hand. The wide 18-inch door provides ample space for walking through.
- Locate the latch mechanism on the top bar of the gate.
- Slide the button or lever on the latch.
- Lift the gate door slightly to disengage the lock.
- Swing the gate door open in the desired direction.

Auto-Close and Hold-Open Features
The gate is equipped with a gravity-fed hinge that automatically closes the gate when released. For situations where you need the gate to remain open:
- To activate the hold-open feature, push the gate door past 90 degrees. It will remain open until manually closed or gently pushed back into the auto-close range.
- To allow the gate to auto-close, simply release the gate door from any angle less than 90 degrees, and it will swing shut and latch automatically.
