The BINBOND Model 2521 features a durable stainless steel case and band, a striking blue analog dial with luminous hands and markers, and a quartz movement for precise timekeeping. It includes a date display and is designed for everyday wear.

Setup

1. Setting the Time and Date

  1. Pull out the crown: Gently pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) to the first click position to set the date, or to the second click position to set the time.
  2. Adjust the date: In the first click position, turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
  3. Adjust the time: In the second click position, turn the crown to move the hour and minute hands. Set the time to the desired hour, ensuring the AM/PM is correct for the date change.
  4. Push in the crown: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into its normal operating position to start the watch.

2. Adjusting the Stainless Steel Band

The watch comes with a link removal tool to adjust the band length for a comfortable fit. Carefully follow the instructions provided with the tool to remove or add links. If you are unsure, it is recommended to seek professional assistance to avoid damaging the band or watch.

Operating the Watch

Luminous Function

Figure 2: Luminous display of the watch in low light.

The hands and hour markers of your BINBOND watch are coated with a luminous material. To activate the glow, expose the watch to a bright light source (natural or artificial) for a few minutes. The intensity and duration of the glow will depend on the exposure time and light intensity.

Chronograph Function

This watch features a chronograph (stopwatch) function. The specific operation of the chronograph sub-dials and pushers may vary. Refer to the detailed diagrams typically found in the included small manual for precise instructions on starting, stopping, and resetting the chronograph.

Maintenance

Water Resistance

Figure 3: Water resistance feature of the watch.

Your BINBOND watch is rated for 30 meters (3 ATM) water resistance. This means it is suitable for daily use, such as splashes, rain, or brief immersion in water. It is not recommended for swimming, diving, or showering with hot water, as steam and temperature changes can compromise the seals. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.

Cleaning and Care

  • Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and smudges.
  • For the stainless steel band, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or strong magnetic fields.
  • Do not use chemical cleaners or abrasive materials on the watch.

Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by an LR44 battery. When the watch stops or the second hand begins to skip, it indicates a low battery. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and functionality.

Troubleshooting

  • Watch not running: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If it is, the battery may need replacement.
  • Incorrect time/date: Refer to the "Setting the Time and Date" section to re-adjust. Ensure the crown is pulled out to the correct position for each adjustment.
  • Band adjustment issues: If you experience difficulty with the link removal tool or if pins do not stay in place after adjustment, it is recommended to consult a professional jeweler or watch repair service.
  • Water ingress: If water appears inside the watch, immediately take it to a professional for inspection and repair to prevent further damage.
