5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Pre-Operation Checks
- Check engine oil level.
- Ensure fuel tank is adequately filled with appropriate fuel.
- Verify all electrical connections are secure.
- Inspect the chain tension and lubrication.
5.2 Starting the Engine
- Turn the fuel valve to the ON position.
- If the engine is cold, engage the choke.
- With the ignition ON, firmly press down on the kick starter lever. Repeat if necessary until the engine starts.
- Once started, gradually disengage the choke as the engine warms up.
5.3 Gear Shifting (Semi-Automatic)
This engine features a semi-automatic transmission with an automatic clutch. This means there is no manual clutch lever to operate. The gear configuration is N-1-2-3-4 (4-up shifting).
- To shift gears, simply use the gear shift lever.
- From Neutral (N), press down once to engage 1st gear.
- To shift to higher gears (2nd, 3rd, 4th), lift the lever up.
- To downshift, press the lever down.
- The automatic clutch will engage and disengage as you shift gears and apply throttle.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your engine.
6.1 Engine Oil
- Oil Type: Recommended 15W/40-SE oil.
- Oil Capacity: Approximately 900mL.
- Lubrication System: Pressure and splash system.
- Oil Change Interval: Refer to your bike's specific service manual for recommended oil change intervals. Generally, change oil after the first 20 hours of operation, then every 50-100 hours or seasonally.
6.2 Spark Plug
- Spark Plug Type: A7TC.
- Inspect and clean the spark plug regularly. Replace if electrodes are worn or fouled.
6.3 Air Filter
- Clean or replace the air filter element regularly, especially when operating in dusty conditions. A dirty air filter can reduce engine performance and lifespan.
