Introduction

The SDREAM Digital Metronome SD-600 is a versatile and portable electronic metronome designed for musicians of all skill levels. It features a clear LCD display, human voice counting, adjustable tempo and rhythm patterns, and a rechargeable battery. Its compact design makes it ideal for practice sessions at home or on the go.

Setup

  1. Unboxing: Carefully remove the metronome and all accessories from the packaging. Verify that all components are present: the SDREAM Digital Metronome, a Type-C charging cable, and this instruction manual.
  2. Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the metronome using the provided Type-C USB cable. Connect the cable to the USB port on the side of the metronome and to a standard USB power adapter (not included). The battery indicator on the LCD screen will show charging status. A full charge provides over 8 hours of use.
  3. Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button (central button with a circle icon) for a few seconds to turn the metronome ON or OFF.

Operating Instructions

The SDREAM Digital Metronome offers intuitive controls for adjusting various settings:

  • Adjusting Tempo (BPM): Use the "SPEED ▲" and "SPEED ▼" buttons to increase or decrease the tempo. The tempo can be set from 40 to 208 beats per minute (BPM). The current tempo is displayed prominently on the LCD screen.
  • Setting Beat Patterns: Press the "BEAT" button to cycle through 10 different beat patterns (0 to 9). This allows for various time signatures and rhythmic structures.
  • Selecting Rhythm Patterns: Press the "RHY" button to choose from 10 rhythm patterns, which define the subdivision of each beat.
  • Human Voice Counting: The metronome supports human English voice beats. To activate or deactivate this feature, press the dedicated voice counting button located on the side of the device.
  • Volume Control: Adjust the volume using the scroll wheel located on the side of the metronome.
  • Headphone Use: For private practice, plug standard 3.5mm headphones into the headphone jack on the side of the device. This mutes the internal speaker.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the metronome. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these can damage the device.
  • Storage: Store the metronome in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the metronome frequently. Charge it regularly, even if not in constant use.

Troubleshooting

  • Metronome does not power on:
    • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the metronome to a power source using the Type-C USB cable.
    • Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to ensure it's not just a short press.
  • No sound from speaker:
    • Check the volume level using the scroll wheel on the side.
    • Ensure headphones are not plugged in, as this will mute the speaker.
  • Human voice not working:
    • Press the voice counting button on the side to toggle the human voice feature.
    • Check the overall volume level.
  • Tempo/Beat/Rhythm not changing:
    • Ensure the metronome is powered on and not in a paused state.
    • Press the respective "SPEED ▲/▼", "BEAT", or "RHY" buttons firmly.
