3. Setup and Installation

3.2 Installation Steps

The Jerqry 4Core Car Radio features a plug-and-play design for Honda CRV 2012-2016 models. The included CANBUS decoder ensures compatibility with your vehicle's existing systems, including steering wheel controls.

1. Prepare the Vehicle: Turn off the vehicle and disconnect the negative terminal of the car battery to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Remove the Old Unit: Carefully use the provided plastic crowbar to pry off the trim panels around your existing car radio. Unscrew and remove the old head unit. You may need an 8mm nut driver and a #2 Phillips head screwdriver.
3. Connect Wiring Harness: Connect the new power cable and RCA cables to the corresponding ports on the Jerqry car radio. Utilize the CANBUS decoder for seamless integration with your vehicle's electrical system.
4. Install GPS Antenna: Mount the GPS antenna in a location with a clear view of the sky, typically on the dashboard or under the windshield.
5. Install External Microphone: Connect the external microphone and route it to a suitable location for clear voice pickup, such as near the rearview mirror or on the steering column.
6. Install Backup Camera (Optional): If installing the AHD backup camera, route the video cable from the rear of the vehicle to the car radio unit. Connect the power wire of the camera to the vehicle's reverse light circuit.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Initial Power On and Basic Settings

After installation, turn on your vehicle's ignition. The car radio will boot up. You may need to set the language, time, and date during the initial setup.

4.2 Touchscreen Interface

The unit features a responsive 9-inch 1280x800 HD IPS touchscreen. Navigate through menus and applications by tapping, swiping, and pinching. The IPS display provides clear images and text with accurate color rendering from various viewing angles.

4.3 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

Connect your iOS or Android smartphone wirelessly via Bluetooth or USB to access CarPlay or Android Auto. Use voice commands (Siri or Google Assistant) or the touchscreen for control.
