7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your vacuum cleaner.

7.1. Emptying the Dust Container

The 1.8L dust container should be emptied regularly, especially when the 'MAX' fill line is reached or suction power decreases.

  1. Ensure the vacuum cleaner is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the dust container release button/latch on the main unit. Press it to detach the dust container.
  3. Position the dust container over a trash bin. Open the bottom lid of the container to release the collected dust and debris.
  4. Close the lid securely and reattach the dust container to the main unit until it clicks into place.

7.2. Cleaning Filters

The vacuum cleaner features multiple filtration. Filters should be cleaned periodically to maintain suction power and air quality.

  • Pre-Motor Filter: This filter protects the motor from dust. It is usually located near the dust container. Remove it and tap off loose dust. If heavily soiled, rinse under cold water and allow to air dry completely (24-48 hours) before reinserting.
  • Post-Motor Filter (HEPA-type): This filter captures fine particles before air is expelled. Check your manual for its location. Tap off dust. Do not wash unless specified by the manufacturer. Replace if heavily soiled or damaged.

Note: Always ensure filters are completely dry before reinserting them into the vacuum cleaner. Using wet filters can damage the motor.

7.3. Cleaning the Floor Brush/Head

Periodically check the floor brush for tangled hair, threads, or debris. Use scissors to cut away any tangled material and remove it. This ensures the brush rotates freely and maintains effective cleaning.
