AOSU SolarCam P1 Max
The SolarCam P1 Max is an outdoor wireless security camera featuring 4K UHD resolution and an integrated solar panel for continuous power. It includes enhanced AI detection capabilities for various outdoor environments like fences and parking areas.
AOSU 2K Indoor Camera
This indoor security camera provides 2K resolution video, 360-degree pan and tilt functionality, and supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks. Key features include one-touch call, smart motion tracking, and IR night vision. It is compatible with Alexa.
AOSU 5MP Doorbell Camera
The 5MP Ultra HD wireless doorbell camera operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. It comes with a Homebase for local storage and enhanced connectivity. The doorbell can be powered by its internal battery or wired connection and is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant.
Setup
1. Download the AOSU App
Search for "AOSU" in your mobile device's app store (iOS or Android) and download the official application.
2. Account Registration
Open the AOSU App and follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account or log in if you already have one.
3. Adding Devices
All devices can be connected to the AOSU App. Each device operates independently.
- General Steps:
- Tap the "+" icon in the app to add a new device.
- Select the specific device model (SolarCam P1 Max, 2K Indoor Camera, or 5MP Doorbell Camera) from the list.
- Follow the app's prompts for pairing, which typically involves scanning a QR code on the device or pressing a sync button.
- AOSU SolarCam P1 Max Installation:
- Choose an outdoor location with ample sunlight exposure for the solar panel and a clear view of the area you wish to monitor.
- Mount the camera securely using the provided mounting kit. Ensure the solar panel is angled to receive maximum direct sunlight throughout the day.
- Connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network via the AOSU App.
- AOSU 2K Indoor Camera Placement:
- Place the indoor camera on a flat surface or mount it to a wall/ceiling in a central location to maximize its 360-degree viewing capability.
- Ensure it is within range of your 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Plug the camera into a power outlet.
- AOSU 5MP Doorbell Camera Installation:
- First, set up the Homebase by connecting it to power and your home router (if using wired connection for Homebase).
- Pair the Doorbell Camera with the Homebase via the AOSU App.
- Decide whether to use battery power or connect to existing doorbell wiring (16-24 VAC).
- Mount the doorbell camera at your desired location, typically at eye level next to your door.
Operating Instructions
Live View
Open the AOSU App and select the desired camera from the device list to view its live feed. You can switch between cameras as needed.
Event Recording & Playback
All cameras automatically record events triggered by motion detection. Access recorded videos through the 'Events' or 'Playback' section in the app. The Doorbell Camera utilizes its Homebase for local storage.
Motion Detection Settings
Customize motion detection sensitivity, activity zones, and notification preferences for each camera within the app's settings. The SolarCam P1 Max features enhanced AI detection.
Two-Way Audio
Use the microphone icon in the live view to speak through the camera's speaker and listen to audio from the camera's microphone. This feature is available on all three devices.
Night Vision
All cameras are equipped with IR night vision for clear video monitoring in low-light conditions. This feature activates automatically.
One-Touch Call (2K Indoor Camera)
The 2K Indoor Camera features a one-touch call button. When pressed, it initiates a call to your registered mobile device via the AOSU App.
360-Degree Pan/Tilt (2K Indoor Camera)
Control the viewing angle of the 2K Indoor Camera remotely using the pan and tilt controls within the AOSU App.
Doorbell Functionality (5MP Doorbell Camera)
When a visitor presses the doorbell button, you will receive an instant notification on your phone. You can then view live video, speak to the visitor, or use pre-recorded responses.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Regularly clean the camera lenses and solar panel (for SolarCam P1 Max) with a soft, damp cloth to ensure optimal image quality and charging efficiency. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
Battery Management
The SolarCam P1 Max is designed for continuous charging via its solar panel. For the Doorbell Camera, monitor battery levels via the app. Recharge the doorbell camera as needed if using battery power, or ensure wired power connection is stable.
Firmware Updates
Periodically check the AOSU App for available firmware updates for your devices. Keeping firmware updated ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.
Troubleshooting
- Device Offline: Ensure the device is powered on and within Wi-Fi range. Check your router's internet connection. Try restarting the device and your router.
- Poor Video Quality: Clean the camera lens. Ensure a strong Wi-Fi signal. For SolarCam, verify the solar panel is clean and receiving adequate sunlight.
- Motion Detection Not Working: Check motion detection settings in the app (sensitivity, activity zones). Ensure the camera's view is not obstructed.
- Battery Draining Quickly (Doorbell Camera): Reduce motion detection sensitivity, shorten recording duration, or consider wiring the doorbell for continuous power. Ensure the SolarCam's panel is clean and optimally positioned.
- Cannot Pair Device: Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network (depending on device compatibility). Reset the device and try the pairing process again.
