6.1 Disassembly for Cleaning

Disassemble all parts that come into contact with breast milk (breast shield, milk collector, tee fitting, diaphragm, valves, flange inserts). The main motor unit should not be washed.

6.2 Cleaning Instructions

  • Rinse all disassembled parts immediately after use with cold water to remove milk residue.
  • Wash parts in warm, soapy water using a mild dish soap. Use a soft brush for thorough cleaning.
  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  • Air dry on a clean drying rack or use a clean cloth. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly to prevent mold growth.

6.3 Sterilization

Sterilize all milk-contacting parts regularly. This can be done by:

  • Boiling: Place parts in boiling water for 3-5 minutes.
  • Steam Sterilizer: Use a microwave or electric steam sterilizer according to its instructions.
  • UV Sterilizer: Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for UV sterilization.

Do not sterilize the motor unit.
