The Upperizon P156FHX2N features a unique stacked dual-screen design, providing an ergonomic viewing experience. Each 15.6-inch screen offers Full HD (1920x1080) resolution, 107% sRGB color gamut, 360 nits brightness, and a 60Hz refresh rate on an IPS matte panel. The monitor includes an adjustable kickstand for versatile positioning and VESA mounting compatibility.

Ports and Controls

  • Mini HDMI Ports (x2): One for the top screen, one for the bottom screen.
  • USB-C Display Port: For video and power transmission via a single USB-C cable.
  • USB-C Power Only Port: For external power supply to ensure maximum brightness.
  • Power/Exit/Flip Top Screen Button: Controls power, exits menus, and flips the top screen display.

4. Setup

4.1 Connecting to Windows Laptops

For Windows systems, the monitor offers a plug-and-play experience. The necessary DisplayLink driver will automatically install upon the first connection.

  1. Connect the monitor to your Windows laptop using the provided USB-C to USB-C cable. Ensure you use the USB-C Display Port on the monitor.
  2. The DisplayLink driver will automatically install. Follow any on-screen prompts.
  3. For optimal brightness (100%), connect the 65W Power Adapter to the USB-C Power Only port on the monitor. Without the power adapter, brightness may be limited to 70%.

4.2 Connecting to MacOS Laptops (M1/M2/M3 Chip)

For MacOS systems, especially those with M1, M2, or M3 chips, manual installation of the DisplayLink driver is required to enable dual-screen extension.

  1. Download and install the latest DisplayLink driver from the official DisplayLink website.
  2. After installation, connect the monitor to your MacOS laptop using the provided USB-C to USB-C cable (to the USB-C Display Port).
  3. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording and grant permission to "DisplayLinkManager" to enable the top screen.
  4. Ensure the "DisplayLinkManager" application is running in the background. For convenience, check "Launch automatically after login" in the DisplayLink Manager settings.
  5. For optimal brightness (100%), connect the 65W Power Adapter to the USB-C Power Only port on the monitor. Without the power adapter, brightness may be limited to 70%.

4.3 Connecting to Desktop PCs (USB-A)

The monitor can also be connected to desktop PCs via a USB-A port, requiring the DisplayLink driver.

  1. Install the DisplayLink driver on your desktop PC.
  2. Connect the monitor to a USB-A 3.0 (or higher) port on your PC using the provided USB-A to USB-C cable (to the USB-C Display Port).
  3. For optimal brightness (100%), connect the 65W Power Adapter to the USB-C Power Only port on the monitor. Without the power adapter, brightness may be limited to 50%.

4.4 Direct USB-C Connection (Without DisplayLink Driver)

If your laptop's USB-C port supports Thunderbolt 3/4/5 or DisplayPort Alt Mode, you can use the USB-C Display Port and one Mini HDMI port to enjoy dual screens without installing the DisplayLink driver. This method is not supported by Mac M1/M2/M3 chips for dual-screen extension.

5. Operating the Monitor

5.1 Display Modes

The monitor supports both extended and mirror display modes. You can configure these settings through your operating system's display settings.

  • Extend Mode: Each screen displays different content, expanding your desktop workspace.
  • Mirror Mode: All screens display the same content.

Note for MacOS (M1/M2/M3): To achieve extended display mode with dual screens, the DisplayLink driver must be installed and running as described in Section 4.2.

5.2 Screen Orientation and Flipping

The monitor supports both landscape and portrait orientations. You can adjust this in your operating system's display settings.

The top screen can be flipped horizontally using the dedicated Power/Exit/Flip Top Screen button. This allows for flexible viewing angles and content arrangement.

Note: Portrait mode is not supported when connecting to an iPad or smartphone.

5.3 On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu

Use the menu buttons on the side of the monitor to access and navigate the OSD menu. This allows you to adjust various display settings independently for each screen.

  • Brightness: Adjust the screen's luminance.
  • Contrast: Modify the difference between the brightest and darkest areas of the screen.
  • ECO Mode: Select different power-saving modes.
  • HDR Mode: Enable or disable High Dynamic Range display.
  • Other settings may include color temperature, aspect ratio, and input source selection.

5.4 Physical Setup (Kickstand and VESA)

The integrated adjustable kickstand allows you to position the monitor at various angles for comfortable viewing. For a more permanent setup, the monitor is VESA compatible.

  • Kickstand: Extend the kickstand from the back of the monitor and adjust it to your desired angle.
  • VESA Mounting: The monitor features 75x75mm VESA mounting holes. Use M4*6mm screws to attach it to a compatible VESA stand or arm. (Note: VESA stand is not included).

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your monitor.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen and exterior. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive screen cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: When not in use, fold the monitor and store it in the provided sleeve case to protect it from dust and scratches. Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Handling: Avoid applying excessive pressure to the screens or dropping the monitor.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your monitor, refer to the following troubleshooting steps.
