5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Receiver Overview and Port Identification

The M-01A receiver features multiple ports for various connections. Refer to the diagram above for port identification:

  • Ports 1-8: Standard channel outputs for servos, ESCs, etc.
  • B (Bind Button): Used for pairing the receiver with the transmitter.
  • EXT-V: External voltage telemetry port. Note that the pole on the left is '-' and the pole on the right is '+'. This port is for voltage feedback only and does not supply power.

5.2 Binding Procedure

To establish a connection between your M-01A receiver and a compatible MEUS Racing transmitter (e.g., ME-10B), follow these steps:

  1. Ensure both the transmitter and receiver are powered off.
  2. Connect a power source (e.g., ESC or external battery) to any channel port on the receiver.
  3. Press and hold the Bind Button (B) on the receiver.
  4. While holding the bind button, power on the receiver. The receiver's LED should start flashing, indicating it is in binding mode.
  5. Power on your MEUS Racing transmitter and activate its binding function (refer to your transmitter's manual for specific instructions).
  6. Once successfully bound, the receiver's LED will turn solid, indicating a stable connection.
  7. Release the bind button and power cycle both the transmitter and receiver to confirm the binding.

5.3 Voltage Telemetry Connection

The EXT-V port allows for real-time battery voltage telemetry. To connect:

  • Connect the provided telemetry cable to the EXT-V port on the receiver.
  • Connect the other end of the telemetry cable to your main LiPo battery's balance lead. Ensure correct polarity: the black wire connects to the negative (-) pole, and the red wire connects to the positive (+) pole of the battery.
  • The EXT-V port is for voltage feedback only and does not supply power to the receiver. The receiver must be powered separately, typically via the ESC.

6. Operation

6.1 Light Control Functions

The M-01A receiver supports various light control functions through its dedicated ports. These functions are typically controlled via specific throttle movements on your MEUS Racing transmitter.

  • Emergency Stop Signal (ESS): To activate or deactivate the ESS, push the throttle from the middle position to maximum three times (middle-max-middle-max-middle-max).
  • Front Light: To turn the front light on or off, push the throttle from the middle position to minimum three times (middle-min-middle-min-middle-min).
  • Flashing Light: To activate or deactivate the flashing light, push the throttle from the middle position to maximum, then back to minimum, three times (middle-max-min-max-min-middle).

Note: Specific light control port assignments are detailed in Section 5.1. Ensure your lights are correctly wired to the corresponding ports.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and reliable performance of your MEUS RACING M-01A receiver, consider the following maintenance guidelines:
