1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, maintenance, and specifications of your FANPEEC FA-H4T Industrial Fanless Mini PC. 3. Setup Guide

3.1 Connecting Peripherals

1. Connect Display: Use the provided HDMI cable to connect the Mini PC to your monitor. The device supports triple display output via HDMI, EDP, and Type-C for 4K resolution.
2. Connect Keyboard and Mouse: Plug your USB keyboard and mouse into any of the available USB ports. The device features 8 USB ports (4x USB 3.0, 4x USB 2.0).
3. Connect Network:
   • Wired Connection: Connect an Ethernet cable to one of the two Gigabit LAN ports.
   • Wireless Connection: Attach the provided WiFi antennas to the designated ports on the rear of the device. Once powered on, configure WiFi settings within the operating system.
4. Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the Mini PC and then plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.

3.2 Initial Power On

Press the power button on the front of the Mini PC. The system will boot into Windows 11 Pro. Follow the on-screen instructions for initial setup, including language, region, and user account creation.

4.1 Operating System

The FANPEEC FA-H4T comes pre-installed with Windows 11 Pro. It also supports other operating systems such as Windows 10, Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, OPNsense), providing flexibility for various applications.

4.2 Multi-Display Setup

The Mini PC supports up to three independent displays simultaneously, with 4K resolution output via HDMI, EDP, and Type-C. This feature is ideal for surveillance panels, digital signage, and multi-tasking environments.

4.3 Auto Power On Feature

5. Maintenance and Upgrades

5.1 RAM, SSD, and HDD Installation/Upgrade

The FANPEEC FA-H4T Mini PC offers flexible upgrade options for RAM, SSD, and HDD to enhance its storage capacity and performance. Always ensure the device is powered off and disconnected from the power source before performing any internal modifications.

1. Accessing Internal Components: Use a screwdriver to remove the four screws on the bottom cover to access the motherboard.
2. RAM Installation: Locate the two 260-pin SODIMM slots. Carefully insert the DDR4 RAM modules (up to 64GB total) into the slots until they click into place.
3. SSD Installation: The device supports M.2 2280 NVMe/SATA SSDs (up to 2TB). Insert the SSD into the M.2 slot and secure it with the provided screw.
4. HDD Installation: A 2.5-inch HDD/SSD (up to 6TB) can be installed. Secure the drive to the bottom cover using screws and connect it to the motherboard via the SATA cable.
5. WiFi Module Installation: Locate the WiFi module slot. Insert the compatible WiFi module and connect the antennas firmly.
6. Reassembly: Reattach the bottom cover and tighten the screws.

7. Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the Mini PC and a working electrical outlet. Check the power cord for any damage.
