Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Dayton Audio Hi-Fi Floorstanding Stereo System:

1. Speaker Placement

Position the T65 floorstanding speakers in your listening area. For optimal stereo imaging, place them equidistant from your primary listening position and spaced apart to form an equilateral triangle. Keep them away from corners to avoid excessive bass buildup.

2. Connecting the Speakers to the HTA100 Amplifier

1. Ensure the HTA100 amplifier is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet.
2. Connect the speaker cables to the binding posts on the back of the T65 speakers. Ensure positive (+) terminals on the speaker connect to positive (+) terminals on the amplifier, and negative (-) to negative (-).
3. Connect the other end of the speaker cables to the corresponding Speaker Outputs on the back of the HTA100 amplifier. Maintain correct polarity (Red to Red, Black to Black).

3. Connecting the TT-1BTW Turntable to the HTA100 Amplifier

1. Ensure both the turntable and amplifier are turned off and unplugged.
2. Connect the RCA cables from the TT-1BTW Turntable's RCA Outputs to either the Phono RCA Input or Line Level Aux RCA Inputs on the HTA100 amplifier.
3. If using the HTA100's dedicated Phono input, ensure the Phono/Line switch on the TT-1BTW turntable is set to "Phono". If using the HTA100's AUX input, set the TT-1BTW's switch to "Line".
4. Connect the ground wire from the TT-1BTW Turntable's Ground Post to the Ground Terminal on the HTA100 amplifier to minimize hum.

4. Power Connection

1. Before plugging in the HTA100 amplifier, verify that the AC Voltage Selector Switch on its back panel is set to the correct voltage for your region (115V or 230V).
2. Connect the power cables to the HTA100 amplifier and TT-1BTW turntable, then plug them into a suitable wall outlet.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

Press the Power Button on the front panel of the HTA100 amplifier to turn the system on or off. The tubes will glow when the amplifier is active.

Source Selection

Use the Input Selector knob on the HTA100 amplifier's front panel to choose your desired audio source:

• Phono: For the TT-1BTW turntable (if its Phono/Line switch is set to "Phono").
• AUX: For the TT-1BTW turntable (if its Phono/Line switch is set to "Line") or other analog audio devices.
• BT (Bluetooth): For wireless audio streaming from Bluetooth-enabled devices.
• OPT (Optical): For digital audio sources via optical cable.
• COAX (Coaxial): For digital audio sources via coaxial cable.
• PC-USB: For audio playback from a computer via USB cable.

Bluetooth Pairing (HTA100)

1. Select "BT" as the input source on the HTA100 amplifier. The Bluetooth indicator will flash.
2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "Dayton Audio HTA100" from the list. Once paired, the Bluetooth indicator on the amplifier will glow solid.

Turntable Operation (TT-1BTW)

1. Place a vinyl record on the platter.
2. Select the appropriate speed (33 or 45 RPM) using the speed selector buttons on the turntable.
3. Carefully lift the tonearm using the cueing lever.
4. Position the stylus over the desired track on the record.
5. Gently lower the tonearm using the cueing lever. The stylus will make contact with the record, and audio will begin playing through the speakers.
6. To stop playback, lift the tonearm using the cueing lever and return it to the tonearm rest.

Volume, Bass, and Treble Control

• Volume: Rotate the large Volume knob on the HTA100 amplifier to adjust the overall listening level.
• Bass: Use the Bass knob to increase or decrease low-frequency response.
• Treble: Use the Treble knob to increase or decrease high-frequency response.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help prolong the life and performance of your audio system:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe down the surfaces of the amplifier, speakers, and turntable. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
• Dust Cover (Turntable): Keep the dust cover on the TT-1BTW turntable when not in use to protect it from dust and debris.
• Stylus Care: Regularly clean the turntable stylus using a soft brush designed for stylus cleaning, brushing from back to front. Replace the stylus when signs of wear are apparent (typically after 300-500 hours of playback).
• Record Care: Keep your vinyl records clean and free of dust to prevent damage to the stylus and improve sound quality.
