Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Device does not power on.Low or dead batteries; incorrect battery polarity.Replace batteries with new ones, ensuring correct +/- orientation.
Inaccurate or fluctuating readings.Dirty light sensor; sensor not positioned correctly; strong electromagnetic interference.Clean the light sensor with a soft cloth. Ensure the sensor is facing the light source directly. Move away from strong electrical devices.
Display shows "OL" or "LO".Measurement is Over-Limit (OL) or Under-Limit (LO) of the device's range. The light intensity is outside the measurable range. The device is functioning correctly but cannot provide a numerical reading for this extreme condition.
Alarm light is on constantly.Current light level is outside the set alarm limits.Adjust the alarm limits or move to an area with light intensity within the set range.
