2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Always adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear (knee pads, elbow pads, gloves) when riding.
  • Familiarize yourself with local laws and regulations regarding electric scooter use.
  • Do not ride in adverse weather conditions (heavy rain, snow, ice). While the scooter is designed to be water-resistant, prolonged exposure to water can cause damage.
  • Ensure the scooter is fully charged and all components are securely fastened before each ride.
  • Maintain a safe speed and distance from other vehicles and pedestrians.

4. Setup and First Use

4.1 Unboxing and Assembly

  1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Unfold the scooter frame until it locks securely into place.
  3. Attach the handlebars to the stem, ensuring all cables are properly connected and not pinched.
  4. Tighten all screws and quick-release clamps as instructed in the included quick start guide.
  5. Check tire pressure. The recommended pressure is typically listed on the tire sidewall.

4.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the scooter's battery. This typically takes 4-6 hours.

  • Locate the charging port on the scooter.
  • Connect the charger to the scooter, then plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
  • The indicator light on the charger will change (e.g., from red to green) when charging is complete.
  • Disconnect the charger once charging is complete to prevent overcharging.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Starting the Scooter

  1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position.
  2. Press and hold the Power Button (C) on the LCD display until the display illuminates.
  3. For safety, the scooter requires an initial push-off before the motor engages. Give the scooter a slight push with your foot, then gently press the Throttle (D).

5.2 Controls and Functions

  • Speed Gears: Use the Gear Switch Button (E) to cycle between 1st (lowest speed), 2nd, and 3rd (highest speed) gears.
  • Single/Dual Drive: Press the Single/Dual Drive Button (B) to switch between single motor mode (for efficiency) and dual motor mode (for maximum power and climbing).
  • Lighting: Use the Light Switch (F) to turn on/off the headlights, taillights, and turn signals.
  • Cruise Control: To activate, hold the throttle at your desired speed for a few seconds. Release the throttle, and the scooter will maintain that speed. To deactivate, gently press the brake or throttle again.
  • Braking: Apply the brake levers (front and rear) to slow down or stop. The dual disc brakes provide effective and smooth stopping power.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your AJOOSOS X700 scooter.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the scooter with a damp cloth. Do not use high-pressure water jets or immerse the scooter in water.
  • Tires: Check tire pressure regularly (e.g., weekly) and inflate to the recommended PSI. Inspect tires for wear, punctures, or damage.
  • Brakes: Periodically check brake pads for wear and ensure brake levers operate smoothly. Adjust if necessary.
