4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Water Resistance Guidelines

Your Pagani Design PD1676 watch is water-resistant up to 100 meters (10 ATM). This means it is suitable for everyday use, swimming, and snorkeling. However, it is important to observe the following:

  • Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged.
  • Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to hot water, steam, or sudden temperature changes, as this can compromise the seals.
  • Leather straps are generally not designed for prolonged water exposure and may degrade.

4.2. General Usage

The watch is designed for daily wear. The sapphire glass provides excellent scratch resistance, but it is not entirely impervious to damage. Avoid dropping the watch or subjecting it to severe impacts.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

Wipe the watch case and metal bracelet regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and perspiration. For stainless steel bracelets, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. For leather straps, avoid excessive moisture and clean with a specialized leather cleaner if necessary.

5.2. Battery Replacement

The quartz movement is powered by a battery. When the watch stops or the second hand begins to jump erratically (indicating low battery), it is time for a battery replacement. This should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure the water resistance is maintained and the movement is not damaged.

5.3. Strap/Bracelet Care

Inspect the strap or bracelet periodically for wear and tear. Leather straps may need replacement over time due to natural degradation. Metal bracelets can be cleaned with mild soap and water, ensuring they are thoroughly dried afterward. Adjustments to metal bracelets (adding or removing links) should be done by a professional.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Watch not running: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If it is, the battery may need replacement.
  • Chronograph hands not resetting to zero: This can sometimes be corrected by performing a chronograph reset procedure (refer to the movement's specific instructions, often involving pulling the crown out and pressing pushers in a sequence). If the issue persists, professional service may be required.
  • Date not changing: Ensure the time is set correctly (AM/PM cycle). If the date is stuck, avoid forcing it and consult a technician.
  • Condensation inside the crystal: This indicates a breach in water resistance. Immediately seek professional service to prevent further damage to the movement.
