4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Recording Modes
- Loop Recording: The dash cam continuously records in 1/3/5 minute segments. When the memory card is full, it automatically overwrites the oldest unprotected files, ensuring continuous recording. Locked videos are not overwritten.
- G-Sensor: The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts, crashes, or bumps. Upon detection, it automatically locks the corresponding footage to prevent overwriting. It is recommended to set the G-sensor to the "low" sensitivity level to avoid locking unnecessary footage during normal driving.

4.2 Parking Monitor
The 24-hour parking monitor provides constant surveillance when your car is turned off. With built-in motion detection, the dash cam will automatically record important moments if movement or collision is detected. A hardwire kit (not included) is needed for continuous 24-hour parking monitoring.

4.3 Night Vision / WDR
The dash cam features a large F2.0 aperture with 4 IR LEDs and a Sony IMX335 Image Sensor, enabling clear image capture in low light conditions. Superior HDR/WDR technology balances exposure for clear shots day or night, reducing blind spots and enhancing night driving safety.

4.4 GPS Functionality
The built-in GPS records your driving route, real-time speed, and location, providing additional evidence if an accident occurs. Ensure you use the original car charger for GPS function.

4.5 App Control
The mobile app allows you to easily view, download, and share videos from your dash cam via 5G WiFi. You can also adjust various settings directly from your smartphone.
4.6 Parking Assistance
The rear camera provides a clear rear view and parking guide lines when the reverse gear is engaged, assisting with parking maneuvers. The red reverse line on the extension cable of the rear camera should be connected to the positive pole of the reverse light for this feature.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Formatting Memory Card
It is crucial to format the memory card before its first use and periodically thereafter to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This can typically be done through the dash cam's settings menu or via the mobile app.
5.2 Cleaning
Use the provided lens cleaning cloth to gently wipe the camera lenses. Avoid using abrasive materials or chemical cleaners that could damage the lens coating.
6. Troubleshooting
- Dash cam not powering on: Ensure the car charger is properly connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's cigarette lighter. Check if the vehicle's power outlet is functioning.
- GPS not working: Verify that the original Faumon car charger is being used, as it is required for GPS functionality. Ensure the vehicle is in an open area with clear sky view.
- Memory card full / recording stopped: Format the memory card regularly. Adjust G-sensor sensitivity to 'low' to prevent unnecessary locking of files.
- WiFi connection issues: Ensure 5G WiFi is enabled on the dash cam and your smartphone is within range. Restart both devices and try connecting again.
- Poor video quality: Ensure lenses are clean. Check video resolution settings in the app.
