2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

For the Main Display Unit:

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the main unit.
  2. Insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover.

For Remote Sensors (each sensor):

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote sensor.
  2. Insert 2 x AAA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-).
  3. Select a channel (1, 2, or 3) for the sensor using the small switch inside the battery compartment. Ensure each sensor uses a unique channel.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover.

2.2 Sensor Pairing

After installing batteries in both the main unit and the remote sensors, the main unit will automatically attempt to connect with the sensors. The receiving icon on the main unit will flash during this process.

  • Ensure all sensors are within range of the main unit during initial setup.
  • If a sensor does not connect, long-press the 'CH' button on the main unit to initiate a new search for sensor signals.
  • If replacing batteries in a sensor, long-press the 'CH' button on the main unit to re-establish connection.

3. Operation

3.1 Temperature Unit Selection (°C/°F)

To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F):

  • Locate the °C/°F button on the main unit.
  • Press the button once to toggle the temperature unit.

3.2 MAX/MIN Record

The unit records the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity values over a period. To view and reset these records:

  • Press the 'MIN/MAX' button once to display the maximum (MAX) recorded values.
  • Press the 'MIN/MAX' button a second time to display the minimum (MIN) recorded values.
  • Press the 'MIN/MAX' button a third time to return to current temperature and humidity values.
  • To clear the recorded MAX/MIN values, long-press the 'MIN/MAX' button while in MAX or MIN display mode.

3.3 Backlight Function

The main unit features a backlight for improved visibility in low-light conditions:

  • Press the 'LIGHT' button on the main unit to activate the backlight.
  • The backlight will automatically turn off after 10 seconds to conserve battery power.

3.4 Comfort Indicator

The main unit displays a comfort indicator to quickly assess the indoor environment:

  • COMFORT: Humidity between 45% and 65%

4. Placement and Mounting

The main unit and remote sensors offer various placement options for optimal monitoring.

4.1 Main Unit Placement

  • The main unit can be placed on a desktop or table using its integrated stand.
  • It can also be wall-mounted using the hanging hole on the back.

4.2 Remote Sensor Placement

Remote sensors can be placed in different indoor or outdoor locations. Note: The remote sensors are NOT waterproof and should be protected from direct rain or heavy moisture.

  • Place sensors in areas you wish to monitor, such as a bedroom, greenhouse, office, or covered outdoor area.
  • Ensure sensors are within the wireless transmission range (up to 328ft/100m in open areas) of the main unit. Walls and other obstructions may reduce this range.
  • Avoid placing sensors in direct sunlight or near heat sources, as this can affect accuracy.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the main unit and sensors with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in the main unit (3x AAA) and remote sensors (2x AAA each) when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure correct polarity.
  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage.
