2. Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.
- Read all instructions before operating the toaster.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or toaster in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove plug from wall outlet.

4. Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the toaster and all packaging materials. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.
- Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface, away from flammable materials such as curtains or walls. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
- First Use (Burn-Off Cycle): Before toasting food for the first time, operate the toaster without bread on the highest setting (6) for one cycle. This will burn off any manufacturing residues and eliminate initial odors. It is normal for a slight odor or smoke to be present during this process. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
Toasting Bread:
- Ensure the crumb tray is properly inserted.
- Place up to two slices of bread or other items into the toasting slots. The automatic centering guides will hold the items in place.
- Select your desired browning level using the Browning Control Dial (1 for light, 6 for dark).
- Press the High-Lift Lever down until it locks into place. The toasting cycle will begin.
- Once the selected browning cycle is complete, the toast will automatically pop up, and the toaster will shut off.
- Use the High-Lift Lever to carefully retrieve your toasted items.
Using the STOP/Cancel Function:
To stop the toasting cycle at any time, press the 'STOP' button. The High-Lift Lever will immediately release, and the toast will pop up.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster.
- Always unplug the toaster from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can scratch the finish.
- Crumb Tray Cleaning:
- Locate the removable crumb tray at the bottom of the toaster.
- Pull out the crumb tray.
- Discard accumulated crumbs.
- Wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth, then dry thoroughly before reinserting.
- Push the crumb tray back into place until it clicks securely.
- Internal Cleaning: Do not rinse the inside of the machine directly with water. If food particles are stuck inside, gently shake the toaster upside down over a sink to dislodge them, ensuring the toaster is unplugged and cool.
