5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your YAMAZAKI Home Tower Under-Sink Rack, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the rack regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, a mild soap solution can be used. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the powder-coated finish.
  • Drying: After cleaning, ensure the rack is thoroughly dried to prevent rust, especially in humid environments like under a sink.
  • Drawer Functionality: Periodically check the sliding mechanisms for any debris or obstructions that might hinder smooth operation. Keep the runners clean and dry.
  • Weight Distribution: Distribute items evenly on the shelves to prevent strain on the frame and sliding mechanisms. Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 15 kg (33 lbs).

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your under-sink rack, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • Shelves do not slide smoothly:
    • Check for any debris or obstructions in the sliding runners. Clean as necessary.
    • Ensure the rack is placed on a flat, level surface. Uneven surfaces can affect drawer alignment.
    • Verify that the shelves are correctly installed in their runners and not misaligned.
  • Rack feels unstable:
    • Confirm that all assembly screws are securely tightened.
    • Ensure the weight of items is evenly distributed and not exceeding the maximum capacity.
    • Check if the rack is placed on a stable, flat surface.
  • Difficulty adjusting top shelf height:
    • Ensure the shelf is completely empty before attempting to remove or re-insert it into new slots.
    • Align both sides of the shelf simultaneously when re-inserting into the desired height slots.
