7.2 Stainless Steel Components

The thickened stainless steel grinding parts are corrosion-resistant, ensuring durability and long service life. No special cleaning is required for these parts beyond normal operation.

8. Troubleshooting

If your disposer encounters an issue, try these common troubleshooting steps:

  • Disposer not turning on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged in. Verify the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. Press the red reset button on the bottom of the unit.
  • Disposer humming but not grinding: This indicates an object is likely jammed in the grinding chamber. Turn off the power immediately. Use the hex wrench (included) to insert into the center hole on the bottom of the disposer and turn it back and forth to free the jam. Remove the object with tongs or pliers (never your hand). Press the reset button and try again.
  • Leaking: Check all plumbing connections for tightness. Ensure the sink flange is properly sealed.
  • Odors: Run cold water and grind a few lemon or orange peels to freshen the disposer.
