3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for optimal application of the protective film:

  1. Prepare the Screen: Ensure the BOIFUN MT01 drive recorder screen is clean and free of dust, dirt, and fingerprints. Use the included cleaning cloth to thoroughly wipe the screen.
  2. Align the Film: Carefully peel back a small portion of the release liner from one edge of the protective film. Align the exposed edge of the film with the corresponding edge of the drive recorder screen.
  3. Apply Gradually: Slowly peel off the rest of the release liner while gently pressing the film onto the screen with a soft cloth or squeegee (not included). Work from one end to the other, pushing out any air bubbles as you go.
  4. Remove Air Bubbles: If small air bubbles remain, gently push them towards the edges of the film using the cleaning cloth. For stubborn bubbles, you may carefully lift a corner of the film and reapply.
  5. Final Wipe: Once applied, give the screen a final wipe with the cleaning cloth to remove any remaining smudges.

4. Maintenance

To maintain the clarity and effectiveness of your MIYAVIX protective film:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth, such as the one provided, to gently wipe the film surface. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Avoid Sharp Objects: While the film has a hard coat, avoid contact with sharp objects to prevent scratches.

5. Troubleshooting

Common issues and solutions during film application:

  • Air Bubbles: If air bubbles appear after application, try gently pushing them towards the nearest edge with a soft cloth. For larger bubbles, carefully lift the nearest edge of the film and reapply slowly.
  • Dust Particles: If dust is trapped under the film, carefully lift the nearest edge of the film and use a dust-removal sticker (not included) or a piece of tape to lift the dust particle. Then, reapply the film.
  • Misalignment: If the film is misaligned, carefully lift it from one corner and reapply, ensuring proper alignment before pressing down firmly.
