The FOTOSY Blood Pressure Monitor is equipped with several features designed for ease of use and accuracy:

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The monitor operates on 3 AA batteries. To install:

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the main unit.
  2. Insert 3 AA batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-) inside the compartment.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Batteries are not included and must be purchased separately. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period.

4.2 Connecting the Cuff

Connect the air tube from the cuff to the air jack on the side of the main unit. Ensure a snug fit to prevent air leakage during measurement.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Proper Measurement Technique

For accurate readings, follow these steps:

  1. Prepare: Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measurement. Avoid talking or moving during the measurement.
  2. Wrap the Cuff: Wrap the cuff around your bare left upper arm. The bottom edge of the cuff should be about 2 to 3 cm (0.8-1.2 inches) above your elbow. Ensure the air tube runs down the center of your arm.
  3. Position Arm: Rest your arm on a table or flat surface so that the cuff is at the same level as your heart.
  4. Start Measurement: Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will inflate, and the measurement will begin automatically. Remain still until the measurement is complete and the results are displayed.

5.2 Dual User & Memory Function

The monitor supports two users (User 1 and User 2) and stores up to 120 readings for each. To switch between users:

  1. Short press the MEM button until the user ID (User 1 or User 2) starts flashing.
  2. Press the START/STOP button to switch between User 1 and User 2.
  3. Press the MEM button again to confirm your selection.

To view past measurements, short press the MEM button repeatedly after selecting a user. The display will cycle through stored readings, showing date, time, systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate.

5.3 Voice Broadcast

The monitor provides voice prompts for easier measurement. You can adjust the volume or turn off the voice function as needed. Refer to the quick guide or the full user manual for specific instructions on adjusting voice settings.

5.4 Date and Time Settings

The date and time feature ensures accurate recording of each measurement, facilitating review and comparison of blood pressure changes over time. To set the date and time, typically you will press and hold the SET button (if available) or a combination of MEM and START/STOP buttons to enter setting mode. Follow the on-screen prompts to adjust the year, month, day, hour, and minute.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the monitor and cuff with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
  • Storage: Store the device in the provided storage bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace all 3 AA batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
