Setup

1. Physical Setup

The T-M1 walkie talkie is designed to be used exclusively with the included earpiece, as it does not have an internal loudspeaker. This design ensures privacy and clear communication in various environments.

  • Attaching the Earpiece: Connect the earpiece to the earphone jack on the walkie talkie. The G-shaped ear hook earpiece can be rotated 360 degrees to comfortably fit either your left or right ear.
  • Wearing the Walkie Talkie: The walkie talkie features a convenient back clip. You can easily clip it onto your collar, pocket, or use the included lanyard for hands-free carrying.

2. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge your walkie talkies. The devices are equipped with a Micro USB charging port.

  • Connect the provided USB cable to the Micro USB port on the walkie talkie.
  • Plug the other end of the USB cable into a power adapter, laptop, power bank, or any other USB-compatible charging device.
  • A full charge typically takes about 3 hours. The LCD display will indicate the battery status.

3. Automatic Frequency Calibration

To ensure clear communication between two or more T-M1 walkie talkies, or with other compatible walkie talkies, you need to perform frequency matching. This process ensures all devices are on the same channel.

  1. Ensure both walkie talkies are turned on.
  2. On the first walkie talkie (the one you want to set), long press the MENU button briefly to enter the channel selection mode.
  3. While in channel selection mode, long press the SCAN key. The screen will display "F" indicating frequency matching mode.
  4. Take the second walkie talkie (the one you want to match) and long press its CALL key to send a signal.
  5. When the first walkie talkie successfully matches the frequency, the "F" will stop flashing, and the green light will show off. This indicates a successful frequency match.
  6. Press the MENU button again on the first walkie talkie to exit the frequency matching mode.

  • Power On/Off: Long press the Power/Menu Key (10) to turn the walkie talkie on or off.
  • Channel Selection: Short press the MENU button to enter channel selection. Use the Up Key (5) and Down Key (7) to navigate through the 22 available channels.
  • Volume Adjustment: Short press the Up Key (5) or Down Key (7) in standby mode to adjust the 8-level volume.
  • Scanning Mode: Short press the Scan Key (6) in standby mode to enter channel scanning. Long press to enter listening mode.
  • Push-to-Talk (PTT): To transmit, long press the PTT button located on the earpiece cable. Release the button to listen.
  • Call Tone: Short press the Call/Lock Key (8) to send a call tone in standby mode.
  • Key Lock: Long press the Call/Lock Key (8) to lock or unlock the keys, preventing accidental operations.
  • LCD Display (4): Shows current channel, volume level, battery status, and other menu information.
  • Signal Lights (2): The red light indicates transmission when the walkie talkie is in use.

General Usage Tips

  • For optimal range, ensure there are no major obstructions between the communicating walkie talkies.
  • Keep the antenna clear during transmission for best signal quality.
  • Always use the provided earpieces for communication.
