Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pruning saw.
Chain Sharpening
A sharp chain is crucial for efficient and safe cutting. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it when it becomes dull. Refer to the chain manufacturer's guidelines for proper sharpening angles and file sizes.
Bar Maintenance
Periodically clean the guide bar groove to remove sawdust and debris. Flip the guide bar regularly to ensure even wear on both sides.
Cleaning and Storage
- After each use, remove the battery and clean the saw with a dry cloth. Remove any sawdust or debris from the motor vents.
- Apply a light coat of oil to the chain and bar to prevent rust, especially during long-term storage.
