5.2 Formatting the SD Card

For optimal performance and to prevent errors, it is recommended to format the Micro SD card within the dash cam upon first use and periodically thereafter. Refer to the on-screen menu for the formatting option.

5.3 Setting Date and Time

Access the system settings via the dash cam's menu to set the correct date and time. This ensures accurate timestamps on your video recordings.

6. App Connection (5G WiFi)

The Faumon M60 features built-in 5G WiFi for seamless connection to the 'Viidure' smartphone application.

  1. Download the 'Viidure' app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  2. Turn on the dash cam.
  3. Enable WiFi on the dash cam through its menu settings.
  4. On your smartphone, go to WiFi settings and connect to the dash cam's WiFi network (SSID and password will be displayed on the dash cam screen).
  5. Open the 'Viidure' app. You can now view live footage, playback recorded videos, download files to your phone, and adjust settings.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1 Automatic Recording

Once powered on, the dash cam will automatically begin recording. The 3-inch IPS screen will display the live view from the front and rear cameras.

7.2 Loop Recording

The dash cam records video in continuous loops (e.g., 1, 2, or 3-minute segments). When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked video files are automatically overwritten to ensure continuous recording. Locked videos (triggered by G-Sensor) are protected from being overwritten.

7.3 G-Sensor (Emergency Recording)

The built-in G-Sensor detects sudden impacts or rapid acceleration/deceleration. When triggered, it automatically locks the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. These files are stored in a separate folder on the SD card.

7.4 Parking Monitor

When enabled, the Parking Monitor feature allows the dash cam to record for approximately 30 seconds if it detects movement or a collision while your vehicle is parked. This feature requires a hardwire kit (not included) for continuous power supply when the vehicle is off.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Cleaning the Device

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dash cam's body and screen. For lenses, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth to avoid scratches. Do not use chemical cleaners.

8.2 SD Card Management

Regularly format the Micro SD card (at least once a month) to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important files before formatting.

8.3 Temperature Considerations

The dash cam is designed with a super capacitor to withstand extreme temperatures from -4°F to 158°F (-20°C to 70°C). It is normal for the dash cam to feel slightly warm during operation, especially in hot weather, due to its porous modeling for heat dissipation.

9. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Dash cam does not power on.Loose power connection, faulty car charger, vehicle power outlet issue.Check all cable connections. Ensure the car charger is fully inserted and the vehicle's power outlet is functional. Try a different USB cable or charger if available.

WiFi connection is unstable or slow.Interference, distance from phone, app issue.Ensure your phone is close to the dash cam. Restart both the dash cam and your phone. Reinstall the 'Viidure' app.
Video quality is poor.Dirty lens, protective film still on lens, low light conditions.Clean the camera lenses. Remove any protective film. Ensure WDR and Night Vision settings are enabled for low light.
