Operating Instructions

Vacuum Sealing Bags

Follow these steps to vacuum seal food items in bags:

  1. Prepare the Bag: Place the food item inside a vacuum sealer bag, ensuring at least 3 inches of empty space at the top of the bag. For moist foods, ensure the sealing area is dry.
  2. Position the Bag: Open the lid of the vacuum sealer. Place the open end of the bag into the vacuum chamber, ensuring it lies flat across the sealing strip and under the bag stopper.
  3. Close and Lock: Close the lid and press down firmly on the Easy-Lock Handle until it clicks into place, indicating it's securely locked.
  4. Select Mode:
    • Press the FOOD MODE button to select "Dry", "Moist", or "Extra Moist" based on your food type.
    • Press the PRESSURE button to select "Normal" or "Gentle" vacuum pressure. "Gentle" is recommended for delicate items.
    • For a stronger seal, press the SEALING MODE button to select "Double" heat seal.
  5. Start Sealing:
    • Press the VAC & SEAL button to automatically vacuum and seal the bag. The digital countdown will display the progress.
    • For soft or delicate foods, use the PULSE button to manually control the vacuum process. Press and hold to vacuum, release to stop. Once desired vacuum is achieved, press MANUAL SEAL to seal.
    • To only seal a bag (e.g., for snack bags or creating bags from a roll), press MANUAL SEAL directly without vacuuming.
  6. Release and Check: Once the process is complete and the countdown finishes, the lid will unlock. Open the lid and remove the sealed bag. Inspect the seal to ensure it is complete and airtight.

  2. Connect Hose to Canister: Connect the other end of the hose to the port on your vacuum canister or accessory.
  3. Start Vacuuming: Press the CANISTER button on the control panel. The unit will begin to vacuum air from the canister.

  • Cleaning the Drip Tray: The detachable drip tray can be removed and washed with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reinserting.
  • Cleaning the Vacuum Chamber: Wipe the vacuum chamber and sealing strip with a damp cloth. Ensure no food particles or liquids are left behind, as this can affect sealing performance.
  • Storage: Store the appliance in a dry place with the lid unlocked to prevent compression of the sealing gaskets, which can lead to poor sealing over time.
