1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the MRSXWPY 9-inch GPS Car Navigator. This device is designed to provide reliable and accurate navigation for your journeys across North America. Featuring a large, clear touchscreen, voice guidance, and free lifetime map updates, it ensures a safe and efficient travel experience. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your new GPS navigator.
2. What's in the Box

3. Setup
3.1 Mounting the Device
The GPS navigator can be mounted on your windshield using the suction cup mount or on your dashboard using the provided dashboard plate and suction cup mount. Ensure the mounting location does not obstruct your view of the road or interfere with vehicle controls.
- Attach the back bracket to the GPS navigation unit.
- Connect the suction cup mount to the back bracket.
- Clean the desired mounting surface (windshield or dashboard plate) thoroughly.
- Press the suction cup firmly against the surface and engage the lever to secure it.
- Adjust the viewing angle for optimal visibility.

3.2 Powering On/Off
- Power On: Connect the device to your car's power outlet using the car charger. The device will typically power on automatically. Alternatively, press and hold the power button located on the side of the unit.
- Power Off: Press and hold the power button until the shutdown prompt appears, then confirm. The device will also power off automatically when disconnected from power.
3.3 Initial Settings
Upon first use, you may be prompted to set the language, time zone, and unit preferences (miles/feet/yards or kilometers/meters). Follow the on-screen instructions to configure these settings.
4. Operating the Device
4.1 Navigation Features
The MRSXWPY GPS Navigator comes preloaded with the latest North American maps, covering 101 regions in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. No internet connection is required for navigation.
- Map Views: Switch between 2D and 3D map modes for different perspectives.
- Search Methods: Search for destinations by Postcode, Full Address, Partial Address, Coordinates, Points of Interest (POI), Favorite locations, or from your search history (recent destinations).
- Route Options: Choose from Fast, Green, Short, or Easy routes based on your preference.
- Voice Guidance: Receive clear, real-voice turn-by-turn directions and street name broadcasts.
- Lane Assist: Provides active lane guidance to help you navigate complex intersections and exits.
- Alerts: The system provides intelligent alerts for current speed cameras, speed limits, traffic lights, and height restrictions, helping you avoid fines and drive safely.
- Customizable Routes: For specific vehicles (e.g., trucks), you can customize routes based on vehicle weight, length, height, and width to avoid restricted roads.

4.2 Vehicle Modes
The device supports 7 different vehicle modes: Car, Pedestrian, Bicycle, Emergency, Bus, Taxi, and Truck. You can switch between these modes in the settings to optimize navigation for your specific vehicle type.

4.3 Multimedia and FM Broadcast
The GPS navigator supports various multimedia formats including MPEG4, MP3, JPEG, AVI, and WMA. It features 16GB internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card up to 32GB) and 256MB RAM.
The FM broadcast function allows you to transfer the GPS sound (voice guidance) to your car's FM radio, enabling audio output through your vehicle's speakers. This is not an FM radio receiver for music.

5. Map Updates
Your MRSXWPY GPS Navigator includes free lifetime map updates for North America. These updates ensure you always have the most current road information, points of interest, and navigation data. Instructions for updating maps are typically provided with the device or can be found on the manufacturer's support website. It is recommended to check for updates periodically to ensure optimal performance.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and exterior of the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use, store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: The device contains a built-in 9V battery with an approximate life of 6 hours. For optimal battery longevity, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
- Software Updates: Regularly check for and install software updates to ensure the best performance and access to new features.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your GPS navigator.
