Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the air cooler and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the unit on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper airflow (at least 20 cm from walls or furniture).
  3. Filling the Water Tank:
    • Locate the water tank access point, typically at the bottom rear or side of the unit.
    • Fill the water tank with clean, cool water. Do not exceed the "MAX" fill line indicated on the water level indicator.
  4. Adding Ice Packs (Optional for Enhanced Cooling):
    • Place the provided reusable ice packs in a freezer until completely frozen.
    • Once frozen, place the ice packs into the water tank. This will help to lower the water temperature and provide cooler air.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

The FANCOLE Portable Air Conditioner can be operated using the control panel on top of the unit or the included remote control.

Control Panel / Remote Control Functions

  • Power Button (): Press to turn the unit ON or OFF.
  • Mode Button (MODE): Press to cycle through the 4 operating modes:
    • Cooling Mode: Provides evaporative cooling.
    • Sleep Mode: Operates quietly with reduced fan speed for undisturbed sleep.
    • Normal Mode: Standard fan operation without evaporative cooling.
    • Nature Mode: Simulates natural breeze by varying fan speed.
  • Speed Button (FAN SPEED): Press to adjust fan speed: Low, Medium, High.
  • Timer Button (TIMER): Sets the operating time before automatic shutdown (if available on model).
  • Swing Button (SWING): Activates or deactivates the oscillation function for wider air distribution.

Initial Operation

  1. Ensure the water tank is filled and the unit is plugged in.
  2. Press the Power Button to turn on the unit.
  3. Select your desired operating mode using the Mode Button. For cooling, select "Cooling Mode".
  4. Adjust the fan speed using the Speed Button to your preferred airflow intensity.
  5. Activate the Swing function for broader air circulation if desired.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air cooler. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.

Cleaning the Water Tank

  • Empty the water tank regularly, especially if the unit will not be used for an extended period.
  • Clean the water tank with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  • Allow the tank to air dry completely before reassembling or storing.

Cleaning the Air Filter

  • The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.
  • Remove the filter from the back of the unit (refer to diagram in product manual if available).
  • Rinse the filter under running water to remove dust and debris. For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush.
  • Allow the filter to dry completely before placing it back into the unit.

Exterior Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Storage

  • If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the water tank is empty and clean, and the filter is dry.
  • Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • It is recommended to store the unit in its original packaging to protect it from dust and damage.
