4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Mounting

The TM928-10A is designed for 35mm DIN rail installation. Securely attach the device to a standard DIN rail in an appropriate electrical enclosure.

4.2 Wiring

  • Connect the incoming Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires to the "IN" terminals.
  • Connect the load's Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires to the "LOAD" terminals.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Initial Power-Up and Reset

Upon first power-up or after a power outage, the display may be blank or show incorrect time. Press the Res button (Reset) to clear all settings and initialize the device. The display will show 0:00 and the current day.

5.2 Setting Current Time and Day

  1. Press and hold the MENU button for approximately 3 seconds until the hour digit flashes.
  2. Use the Up () and Down () buttons to adjust the hour.
  3. Press MENU again to move to the minute setting. Adjust with Up and Down.
  4. Press MENU again to move to the day setting. Adjust with Up and Down (e.g., Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr, Sa, Su).
  5. Press OK to save the settings and exit.

5.3 Programming ON/OFF Cycles

The TM928-10A supports up to 8 ON/OFF programs. Each program consists of an ON time and an OFF time.

  1. Press the MENU button once to enter program setting mode. The display will show "1 ON".
  2. Use Up and Down to select the desired day(s) for this program (e.g., Mo-Su, Mo-Fr, Sa-Su, individual days).
  3. Press MENU to set the ON hour, then MENU for ON minute. Adjust with Up and Down.
  4. Press MENU again. The display will show "1 OFF".
  5. Repeat the steps to set the OFF hour and OFF minute for the same program.
  6. Press MENU to advance to the next program ("2 ON") or OK to save and exit.
  7. Repeat for up to 8 programs. If fewer than 8 programs are needed, press OK to exit after setting your last program.

5.4 Manual Override / AUTO ON/OFF

The timer typically operates in "AUTO ON" or "AUTO OFF" mode, following the programmed schedule. You can manually override the current state:

  • Press the OK button (when not in programming mode) to cycle through modes: AUTO ONONAUTO OFFOFF.
  • In ON mode, the output is continuously ON, ignoring programs.
  • In OFF mode, the output is continuously OFF, ignoring programs.
  • Return to AUTO ON or AUTO OFF for programmed operation.

5.5 Lock Function

To prevent accidental changes to settings, the device features a lock function.

  • To lock the device: Press and hold the Down () button for approximately 5 seconds until "LOCK" appears on the display.
  • To unlock the device: Press and hold the Down () button for approximately 5 seconds until "LOCK" disappears.

  • Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the device.
  • No user-serviceable parts inside. Do not attempt to open the casing.
