Please read this manual thoroughly before operating your cleaner to ensure safe and effective use.
Important Safety Instructions
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should be observed, including the following:
- Always connect to a properly grounded outlet.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning or servicing.
- Do not immerse in water or liquid.
- Do not use with damaged cord or plug.
- Use only BISSELL cleaning formulas intended for this machine.

- Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.

Setup and Assembly
- Attach Handle: Slide the upper handle assembly into the main body of the cleaner until it clicks securely into place.
- Fill Clean Water Tank: Remove the clean water tank from the back of the unit. Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with warm tap water (not boiling) up to the "Water" fill line. Add the BISSELL Wash & Protect Pro cleaning solution up to the "Formula" fill line. Replace the cap and reinsert the tank into the unit.
- Prepare for Use: Ensure the dirty water tank is empty and properly seated. Unwind the power cord and plug the cleaner into a grounded electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions
A. Carpet and Area Rug Cleaning
- Pre-treat (Optional): For heavily soiled areas, pre-treat with a BISSELL pre-treatment spray.
- Power On: Press the power button located on the handle.
- Cleaning Strokes: Hold down the spray trigger to apply cleaning solution while making a slow forward wet pass and another slow backward wet pass. Release the spray trigger and make a slow forward dry pass and another slow backward dry pass to remove dirty solution. Repeat until the area is clean.
- DeepReach PowerBrush: The integrated 4-row DeepReach PowerBrush works to agitate and lift embedded dirt and stains from carpet fibers.

B. Upholstery and Spot Cleaning
- Attach Hose and Tool: Open the accessory hose door on the front of the unit and firmly insert the hose. Attach the Tough Stain Brush Tool to the end of the hose.
- Test Area: Test a small, inconspicuous area of the upholstery for colorfastness before cleaning.
- Clean Spot: Hold the tool about 1 inch above the soiled surface. Press the spray trigger to apply cleaning solution. Gently scrub the area with the brush tool. Release the trigger and apply downward pressure while pulling the tool towards you to suction up the dirty solution.
- Remove Hose: When finished, remove the tool and hose, then close the accessory hose door.

Maintenance and Care
- Empty and Rinse Dirty Water Tank: After each use, remove the dirty water tank, empty its contents, and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Allow it to air dry before reattaching.
- Rinse Clean Water Tank: Empty any remaining solution from the clean water tank and rinse it.
- Clean Brush Roll and Nozzle: The removable brush cover provides easy access to the brush roll. Remove the cover and clean any hair or debris from the brush roll and the suction nozzle. Rinse the cover and brush roll under running water.
- Store Cleaner: Wrap the power cord around the cord wraps. Store the cleaner in a dry, protected area.
