4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Mounting the Door
- Select a suitable location on your chicken coop for the door. Ensure there is enough space for the door to slide vertically without obstruction.
- Mark the outline of the door opening on the coop wall.
- Carefully cut out the marked opening.
- Position the automatic chicken door within the opening and secure it using the provided mounting screws. Ensure it is level and firmly attached.
4.2 Powering the Device
The Shikha Automatic Chicken Coop Door offers two power options:
- Solar Power: Connect the provided solar panel to the Type-C port on the door unit. Mount the solar panel in a location that receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day to ensure continuous charging of the built-in 2000 mAh battery.
- USB Charging: For overcast days or as an alternative, use the provided Type-C USB cable to charge the door's internal battery from a standard USB power source.

4.3 Remote Control Setup
Before first use, open the battery cover on the back of the remote control and remove any power blocking tape. The remote control operates up to 15 meters from the door unit.

5.1 LED Screen Overview
The large LED screen provides optimal visibility for monitoring the door's status, including battery level, current time, and light sensor value.

5.2 Operating Modes
The door offers 4 customizable operating modes:
- Timer Mode: Set specific open and close times (0-24 hours).
- Light Sensor Mode: The door opens when the light sensitivity value is >60 (defaults to day) and closes when the value is <30 (defaults to dawn).
- Timer + Light Sensor Mode: Combine a set open time with light sensor-controlled closing.
- Light Sensor + Timer Mode: Combine light sensor-controlled opening with a set close time.
Use the mode selection button (M) and the up/down arrows on the control panel to navigate and adjust settings.

5.3 Manual Control
You can manually open or close the door using the dedicated buttons on the control panel or via the remote control.
5.4 Anti-Pinch Function
For poultry safety, if the door senses an obstruction (e.g., a chicken) while closing, it will automatically rise 3cm and pause for 10 seconds before attempting to close again.
5.5 Alert System
The door is equipped with an alert system:
- If 3 abnormal door closings occur consecutively, a continuous red light and beep alarm will activate until the door is properly closed.
- If a predator attempts to force the closed door open, a flashing red light and alarm will activate to deter the predator and notify you.

- Remote Control Not Working: Ensure the power blocking tape has been removed from the remote's battery compartment. Check remote battery. Ensure you are within the 15-meter operating range.
- Alarm Activating: If the alarm sounds, check for obstructions preventing the door from closing properly. If a predator alert, inspect the coop for signs of attempted entry.
- LED Screen Not Displaying: Ensure the unit is powered on and has sufficient battery charge.
