Introduction

The WOVTE DAB Portable Digital Radio (Model O1201F4585) is a versatile audio device designed for clear reception of DAB/DAB+ and FM radio stations. It also features Bluetooth connectivity for streaming audio from external devices, an alarm clock, and a sleep timer. Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the following items are present:

  • WOVTE DAB Portable Digital Radio
  • USB Type-C Cable
  • Owner's Manual (this document)

2. Powering On and Charging

The radio can be powered in two ways:

  • USB Mains Power: Connect the supplied USB Type-C cable to the radio's USB port and plug the other end into a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a powered USB port.
  • Rechargeable Battery: The radio features a built-in 2200mAh rechargeable battery. For first use, fully charge the battery. A full charge provides up to 12 hours of playback. The battery charges automatically when connected to USB mains power.

3. Antenna Adjustment

Extend the telescopic antenna fully for optimal radio signal reception, especially in DAB/DAB+ and FM modes.

4. Initial Station Scan

Upon first power-on, the radio will automatically perform a scan for available DAB/DAB+ and FM stations. This process may take a few minutes. Once complete, the radio will display the first available station.

Operating Instructions

General Controls

Familiarize yourself with the main controls:

  • Power/Mode Button: Press to turn on/off, short press to cycle through modes (DAB, FM, Bluetooth).
  • Volume Knob: Rotate to adjust audio volume.
  • OK Button: Confirm selections.
  • Navigation Buttons (Left/Right/Up/Down): Navigate menus and station lists.
  • FAV Button: Access favorite presets.
  • Preset Buttons (1-4): Directly access stored favorite stations.

DAB/DAB+ Radio Mode

  1. Press the Power/Mode button repeatedly until 'DAB' mode is displayed.
  2. The radio will automatically scan for stations or use the last tuned station.
  3. Use the Navigation buttons to browse the list of available DAB stations.
  4. Press OK to select a station.
  5. To store a preset: Tune to the desired station, then press and hold one of the Preset Buttons (1-4) or the FAV button until 'Preset Stored' appears. You can store up to 20 DAB presets.

FM Radio Mode

  1. Press the Power/Mode button repeatedly until 'FM' mode is displayed.
  2. To auto-scan for stations, press and hold the OK button. The radio will scan and stop at the next strong station.
  3. To manually tune, use the Navigation buttons to adjust the frequency.
  4. To store a preset: Tune to the desired station, then press and hold one of the Preset Buttons (1-4) or the FAV button until 'Preset Stored' appears. You can store up to 20 FM presets.

Bluetooth Mode

  1. Press the Power/Mode button repeatedly until 'Bluetooth' mode is displayed. The radio will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon on the display.
  2. On your external device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select 'WOVTE Radio' (or similar) from the list of devices to pair.
  4. Once paired, the Bluetooth icon on the radio's display will become solid, and you can stream audio from your device.

Alarm Clock

The radio supports dual alarms.

  1. Access the alarm settings through the menu (usually by long-pressing the Mode button or navigating via OK and Navigation buttons).
  2. Select 'Alarm 1' or 'Alarm 2'.
  3. Set the desired alarm time, source (DAB, FM, or Buzzer), and volume.
  4. Enable the alarm.

Sleep Timer

The sleep timer allows the radio to turn off automatically after a set period.

  1. Access the sleep timer settings through the menu.
  2. Select the desired duration (e.g., 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes, etc.).
  3. Confirm your selection. The radio will power off after the set time.

Headphone Use

Connect 3.5mm headphones to the headphone socket on the side of the radio for private listening. The internal speaker will automatically mute when headphones are connected.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the radio, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents, as these can damage the surface. Avoid exposing the radio to liquids.

Battery Care

To prolong the life of the built-in rechargeable battery:

  • Charge the battery regularly, even if the radio is not in frequent use.
  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Do not expose the radio to extreme temperatures (hot or cold).

Storage

Troubleshooting
