Designed for ease of use and installation, it is suitable for various indoor doors such as bedrooms, cloakrooms, apartments, offices, and hotels.

2. Safety Information

Always adhere to the following safety guidelines to prevent injury or damage to the product.

• Do not expose the lock to extreme temperatures or direct water.
• Use only specified battery types (4 AAA batteries). Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Keep emergency keys in a safe place outside the locked area.

4. Installation Guide

This section provides step-by-step instructions for installing your smart door lock. A screwdriver is required. The lock is suitable for wooden doors, fire doors, and security doors between 30-55mm thickness.

4.1 Door Preparation and Measurement

Ensure your door meets the required dimensions for installation. The lock fits most US standard doors.

4.2 Installing the Latch Bolt

1. Insert the latch bolt into the door edge, ensuring the "UP" arrow is facing upwards.
2. Secure it with the provided screws.

1. Feed the cable and spindle through the latch bolt.
2. Align the exterior knob with the door hole.

4.4 Installing the Interior Knob

1. Connect the cable from the exterior knob to the interior knob's port.

5.1 Fingerprint Unlocking

The biometric fingerprint reader allows for quick and secure access. The lock supports up to 20 sets of fingerprints.

1. Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor.
2. The lock will unlock in approximately 0.3 seconds if the fingerprint is recognized.

5.2 App Control Unlocking

Manage your lock and unlock the door remotely using the dedicated mobile application. The app allows for fingerprint management, viewing unlock records, setting automatic locks, and managing access codes.

1. Download the "HEI LIANG Smart Lock" app from your device's app store.
2. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your lock.
3. From the app interface, tap the unlock icon to open the door.

• Fingerprint Management: Add, delete, or modify registered fingerprints.

5.3 Emergency Key Unlocking

In case of battery depletion or system malfunction, the traditional key can be used to unlock the door.

1. Insert the emergency key into the keyhole located on the exterior knob.
2. Turn the key to unlock the door.

6.1 Battery Replacement

The lock requires 4 AAA batteries. When the battery level is low, the lock will provide an audible or visual warning. Replace all batteries promptly.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the interior knob.
2. Open the cover and remove the old batteries.
3. Insert 4 new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover.

Note: If the battery is completely depleted, you can use a USB power bank to provide emergency power via the USB interface on the exterior knob. This is for temporary power only; it does not charge the internal batteries. Replace batteries as soon as possible.
