Setup Guide

1. Connecting the Device

  1. Connect the Handset: Plug the coiled cord from the handset into the designated handset port on the side of the phone base.
  2. Power Connection:
    • Power over Ethernet (PoE): If your network switch supports PoE, connect an Ethernet cable from the LAN port on the phone to a PoE-enabled port on your network switch. The phone will power on automatically.
    • Using a Power Adapter (Optional): If PoE is not available, connect the optional DC power adapter (not included) to the power input port on the phone, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
  3. Network Connection:
    • Wired Connection: Connect an Ethernet cable from the LAN port on the phone to your network switch or router.
    • Wi-Fi Connection: Once the phone powers on, navigate to the Android settings on the touchscreen to configure Wi-Fi connectivity.

2. Initial Configuration

Upon first boot, the device will guide you through the initial Android setup process. This may include language selection, time zone, and network settings if not already configured via Ethernet. For SIP account registration, please refer to your VoIP service provider's instructions or your network administrator.

Operation

Using the Touchscreen Interface

The 7-inch capacitive touchscreen provides access to all phone functions and Android applications. The main screen typically displays icons for common actions such as "Call", "Monitor", "Alarm", and "Message", as well as date and time information.

  • Navigation: Swipe left/right or up/down to navigate between screens and menus. Tap icons to open applications or select options.
  • Settings: Access system settings by tapping the gear icon, usually found in the top right corner or by swiping down from the top of the screen.

Making and Receiving Calls

  1. To Make a Call:
    • Tap the "Call" icon on the home screen or open the dialer application.
    • Enter the desired phone number using the on-screen keypad or the physical numeric keypad.
    • Press the Call button (often a green phone icon) on the screen or the physical dial button.
  2. To Answer a Call: When an incoming call rings, tap the Answer button (green phone icon) on the screen.
  3. To End a Call: Tap the End Call button (red phone icon) on the screen or replace the handset.

Video Calls

The integrated 2MP CMOS camera allows for high-definition video calls. Ensure the privacy shutter is open during video calls.
