Operating Instructions
1. Threading the Machine
Proper threading is crucial for smooth operation and quality stitches.
Upper Threading:
- Raise the needle to its highest position by turning the hand wheel towards you.
- Place a spool of thread on the spool pin.
- Guide the thread through the upper thread guide.
- Pass the thread down through the tension adjustment wheel (refer to Figure 1).
- Bring the thread up and through the take-up lever from right to left.
- Guide the thread down through the remaining thread guides to the needle.
- Thread the needle from front to back using the provided needle threader if needed.
Bobbin Winding and Insertion:
- Place an empty bobbin onto the bobbin winder spindle.
- Guide thread from the spool through the bobbin winding tension disc.
- Wrap the thread around the bobbin a few times, then push the bobbin winder spindle to the right.
- Press the foot pedal or power button to start winding. Stop when the bobbin is full.
- Remove the bobbin and trim the thread.
- Open the bobbin cover (refer to Figure 1) and insert the wound bobbin, ensuring the thread unwinds in the correct direction (usually counter-clockwise).
- Pull the bobbin thread through the tension spring and out of the bobbin case.
- Close the bobbin cover.
- Hold the upper thread, turn the hand wheel to lower and raise the needle, catching the bobbin thread. Pull both threads under the presser foot.
