5.2 Mounting Location
Install the smoke detector in areas where smoke or heat is likely to be detected first, such as hallways, bedrooms, and living areas. Avoid installing near kitchens, bathrooms, or garages where steam, cooking fumes, or exhaust might cause false alarms. For optimal heat detection, consider placing it in areas where high-heat fires are a risk.
5.3 Mounting the Device
The detachable snap-on bracket allows for two installation methods:
- Using Screws:
- Mark the positions for drilling holes using the mounting bracket as a template.
- Drill two holes and insert the expansion anchors.
- Secure the mounting bracket to the wall or ceiling with the provided screws.
- Align the smoke detector with the mounted bracket and twist clockwise until it clicks into place.
- Using Adhesive Pad:
- Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and smooth.
- Peel off the protective film from one side of the double-sided adhesive pad and attach it to the back of the mounting bracket.
- Peel off the remaining protective film and firmly press the bracket onto the desired mounting location for at least 30 seconds.
- Align the smoke detector with the mounted bracket and twist clockwise until it clicks into place.
