1. Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your WXWBFAO Android 13 Car Stereo. Important Note: This unit is not compatible with original JBL speaker systems. The original car reversing system is not supported; the included camera must be linked for reversing functionality.

2.2. Installation Overview

The car stereo is designed for direct fitment into Toyota Matrix models from 2009-2014. No additional accessories are typically required beyond what is provided in the package. Professional installation is recommended.

2.3. Wiring and Connections

Connect the provided wiring harness kit to your vehicle's existing wiring. Ensure all connections are secure. The unit supports two USB connections for external devices.

2.4. Reverse Camera Installation

The included reverse camera must be connected to the unit for reversing functionality. The unit supports RCA AV connector type rear view camera signal input. When reverse gear is engaged, the display automatically switches to the parking image.

3.1. General Features Overview

3.2. CarPlay and Android Auto

The unit supports both wireless CarPlay and wired Android Auto. This allows you to integrate your smartphone for navigation, calls, messages, and music through the car stereo's display. Use smart voice assistants or the touchscreen for control.

3.3. GPS Navigation

The unit comes with a built-in offline map of North America. Online maps are also supported when connected to Wi-Fi. You can install or delete Android applications from the Application Store, similar to a smartphone.

3.4. Bluetooth Functions

Utilize Bluetooth for hands-free calling and wireless music streaming. The built-in microphone ensures clear communication, and your car speakers provide audio output. The unit features high-quality digital stereo (RDS) FM tuner.

3.5. Equalizer (EQ)

Adjust the audio output with the 36-band adjustable EQ. Choose from various presets like Jazz, Rock, Pop, Classic, etc., or customize your own settings to optimize sound quality.

3.6. Steering Wheel Control

After connecting the device's SWC cable, you can program the original steering wheel buttons to control the car stereo, allowing for convenient and safe operation while driving.

3.7. Mirror Link / Jlink

The unit supports Mirror Link functionality, allowing you to cast your phone's screen onto the car stereo display. This feature is compatible with both wireless and wired connections.

4. Maintenance

4.1. Cleaning

To clean the touchscreen, use a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaner. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.

4.2. Software Updates

Periodically check for software updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features. Updates can typically be performed via Wi-Fi connection through the system settings.

5.1. Common Issues and Solutions
  • No Power: Ensure all power cables are securely connected. Check the vehicle's fuse box for any blown fuses.
  • No Sound: Verify speaker connections. Check volume levels on both the stereo and any connected devices. Ensure the mute function is not active.
  • GPS Signal Loss: Ensure the GPS antenna is properly installed and has a clear view of the sky.
  • Bluetooth Connection Issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the stereo and your mobile device. Delete previous pairings and attempt to re-pair.
  • CarPlay/Android Auto Not Connecting: Verify your phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are active. For wired connections, ensure the USB cable is functional and properly connected.
  • Reverse Camera Not Displaying: Check the camera's power and video signal connections. Ensure the camera is correctly linked to the stereo's reversing input.
