NORTH EDGE MACH2
NORTH EDGE MACH2 Solar Watch User Manual
Model: MACH2
Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the operation and maintenance of your NORTH EDGE MACH2 Solar Watch. The MACH2 is a robust pilot's watch chronograph designed for reliability and precision, powered by solar energy.

Setup
Initial Charge
Your MACH2 watch is equipped with a solar cell that converts light energy into electricity, storing it in a built-in ML2016 battery. For optimal performance, ensure the watch is exposed to light regularly. A full charge can provide approximately 180 days of operation.
- Place the watch in direct sunlight or under strong artificial light for several hours to initiate charging.
- Avoid placing the watch in excessively hot environments during charging to prevent damage.
Setting the Time and Date
To set the time and date, pull the crown out to the appropriate position and rotate. Push the crown back in to secure the settings.

- Position 1 (Normal): Watch is running.
- Position 2 (First click): Rotate to set the date (if applicable).
- Position 3 (Second click): Rotate to set the time.
- After setting, push the crown back to Position 1.
Operating Instructions
Basic Timekeeping
The watch displays hours, minutes, and seconds. The luminous pointers ensure visibility in low-light conditions.
Chronograph Function
The MACH2 features a 3-eye chronograph for measuring elapsed time. The sub-dials typically indicate seconds, minutes, and a 24-hour display.
- Start/Stop: Press the upper pusher to start and stop the chronograph.
- Reset: While the chronograph is stopped, press the lower pusher to reset all chronograph hands to their zero positions.
Solar Charging Indicator
The watch is designed to operate efficiently with solar power. If the watch stops or the hands do not move after exposure to light, it may indicate that the battery's charging capacity has diminished due to aging. Refer to the Maintenance section for battery replacement information.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the watch case and strap with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Water Resistance
The NORTH EDGE MACH2 watch is water resistant to 164FT (50 meters). This rating supports swimming. However, it is not suitable for shower baths, spa use, or diving. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
Battery Replacement
The built-in ML2016 storage battery is designed for long-term use and typically does not require replacement. However, after several years, its charging capacity may reduce. If the watch stops functioning even after sufficient light exposure, the battery may need replacement. The recommended replacement battery model is maxell ML2016.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Watch stops or hands do not move after charging. | Battery aging; reduced charging capacity. | Replace the battery with a maxell ML2016. Consult a professional watch repair service if unsure. |
| Chronograph hands do not reset to zero. | Requires calibration. | Refer to the watch's specific movement instructions for chronograph hand calibration (often involves pulling crown out and using pushers). |
| Condensation inside the watch. | Exposure to extreme temperature changes or water ingress. | Immediately take the watch to a qualified watch repair technician to prevent further damage. |
