Important Safety Instructions

Setup

Unpacking and Filter Installation

1. Carefully remove the air purifier from its packaging.
2. Locate the front and back covers of the air purifier. Gently pull them off to access the filter compartments.
3. Remove the new HEPA 14 filters and washable pre-filters from their protective plastic packaging.
4. Insert the HEPA 14 filters into the designated slots, ensuring they are oriented correctly (usually indicated by "FRONT" labels).
5. Insert the washable pre-filters on top of the HEPA 14 filters, securing them with the tabs.
6. Reattach the front and back covers securely.
7. Place the air purifier on a flat, stable surface.
8. Plug the power adapter into the air purifier and then into a standard electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Control Panel Overview

The control panel is located on the top of the air purifier and features touch-sensitive buttons for various functions.

• Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
• Fan Speed Button: Cycles through fan speeds (1, 2, 3, 4) and Auto mode.
• Sleep Mode Button: Activates a quiet 22 dB sleep mode, dimming display lights.
• Timer Button: Sets an auto-off timer for 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours.
• WiFi Indicator: Shows the status of the WiFi connection.
• HEPA Filter Indicator: Lights up when it's time to check or replace the HEPA filters.

Smart Control (App & Voice)

The DAYETTE AP304 can be controlled remotely via the Smart Home Life app (compatible with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi) or through voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

1. App Control: Download the "Smart Home Life" app from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your air purifier to your home Wi-Fi network. Through the app, you can monitor air quality, adjust fan speeds, change modes, set schedules, use timers, and track filter usage.
2. Voice Control: Once connected to the app, enable the DAYETTE skill/action in your Amazon Alexa or Google Home app. Use commands like "Alexa, set the air purifier to auto mode" or "Hey Google, turn on the air purifier."

Auto Mode and Air Quality Monitoring

The air purifier features an intelligent Auto Mode that automatically adjusts fan speed based on real-time indoor air quality, detected by the PM2.5 sensor.

• The display on the unit and in the app will show PM2.5 levels and indicate air quality with color codes:
• Blue (0-35 µg/m³): Very Good Air Quality
• Green (36-75 µg/m³): Good Air Quality
• Yellow (76-115 µg/m³): Moderate Air Quality
• Red (>116 µg/m³): Bad Air Quality
• In Auto Mode, the fan speed will increase when air quality decreases (e.g., turns red) and decrease when air quality improves (e.g., turns blue).

Maintenance

Washable Pre-Filter Cleaning

The removable fine-mesh pre-filter captures larger particles and can be cleaned to extend the life of the HEPA filters.

1. Turn off and unplug the air purifier.
2. Remove the front and back covers.
3. Gently unclip and remove the washable pre-filters.
4. Rinse the pre-filters under running water or vacuum them to remove accumulated dust and debris.
5. Allow the pre-filters to air dry completely before reinserting them.

HEPA 14 Filter Replacement

The H14 HEPA filters should be replaced every 6 to 12 months, depending on usage and air quality. The HEPA filter indicator light on the control panel will illuminate when replacement is needed.

1. Turn off and unplug the air purifier.
2. Remove the front and back covers.
3. Remove the washable pre-filters.
4. Gently pull out the used HEPA 14 filters.
5. Insert new HEPA 14 filters, ensuring proper orientation.
6. Reinstall the washable pre-filters and then the front and back covers.
7. Plug in the air purifier and press and hold the HEPA filter indicator button for 3-5 seconds to reset the filter life counter.

Troubleshooting

• Air Purifier Not Turning On: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the unit and the wall outlet. Check if the outlet is functioning.
• Poor Air Purification: Check if the filters are installed correctly and if the protective plastic has been removed from new filters. Clean the washable pre-filters and replace the HEPA 14 filters if the indicator light is on. Ensure the air intake and outlet are not blocked.
• Unusual Noise: Check for any obstructions in the fan or filter compartments. Ensure filters are seated properly.
• WiFi Connection Issues: Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal. Restart the air purifier and your router. Follow the app's troubleshooting steps for reconnection.
• Filter Indicator Light Remains On After Replacement: Reset the filter life counter by pressing and holding the HEPA filter indicator button for 3-5 seconds after installing new filters.
