1. Important Safety Instructions

Always prioritize safety when operating power tools. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or property damage.

• Read the Manual: Understand all instructions and warnings before operating the chainsaw.

• Maintain a Secure Grip: Always hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands during operation.

• Avoid Kickback: Be aware of the chain's rotation direction and avoid cutting with the tip of the guide bar, which can cause kickback.
• Proper Body Positioning: Maintain balance and a stable stance. Do not overreach.
• Battery Safety: Use only the specified charger and batteries. Do not expose batteries to extreme temperatures or moisture.
• Automatic Oiling System: Ensure the oil reservoir is filled before operation to lubricate the chain and guide bar, reducing friction and wear.

• Chainsaw Body: Main housing containing the motor and controls.
• Guide Bar: The metal bar that guides the saw chain.
• Saw Chain: The cutting chain that rotates around the guide bar.
• Protective Cover: An adaptive cover that automatically opens based on cutting depth, providing protection.
• Automatic Oiler (Fuel Tank): Reservoir for chain lubricant.
• Lock Switch: Safety button to prevent accidental activation.

3. Setup and Assembly

3.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed in the packing list are present and undamaged:

3.2 Battery Charging and Installation

1. Insert the battery into the charger.
2. Plug the charger into a standard power outlet.
3. Allow the battery to charge fully before first use. The charger indicator light will change to show a full charge.
4. Once charged, slide the battery firmly into the battery slot on the chainsaw until it clicks into place.

3.3 Chain and Guide Bar Installation/Adjustment

The chainsaw typically comes with one chain pre-installed. If you need to install or replace a chain:

1. Ensure the battery is removed for safety.
2. Locate the saw blade switch (often a green knob as shown in Figure 2.1). Unscrew or loosen it to release the guide bar and chain cover.
3. Carefully place the chain around the sprocket and guide bar, ensuring the cutting teeth are facing the correct direction (refer to markings on the chain or guide bar).
4. Re-attach the guide bar and chain cover.
5. Adjust the chain tension using the tensioning mechanism (usually a screw or knob near the guide bar). The chain should be snug but still able to be pulled freely by hand. It should not sag from the bottom of the guide bar.
6. Tighten the saw blade switch securely.

3.4 Filling the Automatic Oiling System

The chainsaw features an automatic oiling system to ensure continuous lubrication of the chain and guide bar during operation. Use standard chainsaw bar and chain oil.

1. Ensure the chainsaw is off and the battery is removed.
2. Locate the oil filler cap on the chainsaw body (often labeled as 'Fuel Tank' in diagrams).
3. Unscrew the cap and carefully pour bar and chain oil into the reservoir using the provided oil pot or a funnel. Do not overfill.
4. Securely replace the oil filler cap.
5. Periodically check the oil level during use and refill as needed.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting the Chainsaw

1. Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely installed.
2. Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands.
3. Press and hold the safety lock button (usually located near the handle).
4. While holding the safety lock button, squeeze the start switch (trigger) to activate the chainsaw. Release the safety lock button once the chain starts moving.
5. To stop the chainsaw, release the start switch.

4.2 Cutting Techniques

Always exercise caution and follow safety guidelines when cutting.

• Small Branches: For small branches, position the chainsaw firmly against the branch and allow the chain to do the work. Avoid forcing the saw.
• Larger Limbs: For larger limbs, make a relief cut on the underside first to prevent pinching, then complete the cut from the top.
• Maintain Control: Keep both hands on the chainsaw and maintain a stable stance throughout the cut.
• Avoid Overloading: Do not attempt to cut material thicker than the recommended capacity of the 8-inch guide bar.

4.3 Protective Cover Operation

The chainsaw is equipped with an adaptive protective cover. This cover automatically adjusts and opens as the saw blade engages with the material, providing protection during operation and covering the chain when not in use.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your chainsaw.

5.1 Cleaning

1. Always remove the battery before cleaning.
2. Use a brush or compressed air to remove sawdust, chips, and debris from the guide bar, chain, and motor housing.
3. Wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.

5.2 Chain Lubrication

The automatic oiling system lubricates the chain during operation. However, it is good practice to:

• Check the oil reservoir level before each use and refill as necessary (refer to Section 3.4).
• Ensure the oiler is functioning by observing oil spray during a brief test run on a non-cutting surface.

5.3 Chain Sharpening and Replacement

A sharp chain is essential for efficient and safe cutting. Dull chains can lead to poor performance and increased kickback risk.

• Sharpening: Chains can be sharpened using a round file of the correct diameter (refer to chain specifications). If unsure, have it professionally sharpened.
• Replacement: Replace the chain when it becomes too dull to sharpen effectively, or if teeth are damaged or missing. Refer to Section 3.3 for chain replacement steps.

5.4 Battery Storage

If storing the chainsaw for an extended period:

• Fully charge the batteries before storage.
• Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Remove the battery from the chainsaw before storage.
