1. Introduction

2. Package Contents

3. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your CAHAYA Electric Drum Set. It is recommended to lay out all components before beginning assembly.

3.1 Frame Assembly

  1. Unpack all frame components and identify the main vertical and horizontal bars.
  2. Connect the base supports to the vertical frame posts. Ensure all connections are secure using the provided drum key or plastic knobs.
  3. Attach the horizontal bars to the vertical posts, forming the main structure of the drum rack.

3.2 Pad and Cymbal Installation

  1. Attach the 6-inch mesh drum pads (toms) to the designated mounts on the frame.
  2. Install the 8-inch mesh drum pad (snare) to its dedicated mount. This pad features dual-zone functionality.
  3. Mount the 9-inch cymbals (hi-hat, crash, ride) onto their respective cymbal arms. Ensure they are securely fastened but allow for natural swing.
  4. Position the bass drum pad and connect it to the frame.

3.3 Sound Module and Pedal Connection

  1. Attach the sound module to the designated mount on the frame.
  2. Connect each drum pad and cymbal to the corresponding input on the sound module using the provided audio cables. Refer to the labels on the module for correct connections.
  3. Place the bass drum pedal and hi-hat control pedal on the floor in their playing positions.
  4. Connect the pedals to the sound module. The bass drum pedal is a robust metal design for durability.

3.4 Drum Stool and Accessories

  1. Assemble the adjustable drum stool and place it in front of the drum set. Adjust the height for comfortable playing.
  2. Connect the headphones to the headphone jack on the sound module for silent practice.
  3. Place the drumsticks in the drumstick holder attached to the frame.
  4. Connect the power adapter to the sound module and then to a power outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

To power on the drum set, ensure the power adapter is connected and press the power button on the sound module. To power off, press and hold the power button until the display turns off.

4.2 Sound Module Overview

The sound module is the central control unit for your drum set. It features:

  • 350 Drum Sounds: A wide variety of sounds covering traditional and electronic styles.
  • 25 Drum Kits: Pre-configured drum kits for different musical genres.
  • Adjustable Parameters: Customize sounds and kit settings.
  • Metronome Function: For timing practice.
  • USB MIDI Output: Connect to a computer for recording or using virtual instruments.
  • Auxiliary Input: Connect external audio devices (e.g., MP3 player, phone) to play along with music.
  • Headphone Output: For private practice.

4.3 Selecting Drum Kits and Sounds

Use the navigation buttons on the sound module to browse through the 25 available drum kits. Each kit is a collection of pre-assigned sounds to the pads and cymbals. You can also adjust individual sound parameters within a kit to customize your experience.

4.4 Dual-Zone Pads and Cymbals

The snare drum and cymbals (crash, ride) feature dual-zone technology, allowing for different sounds depending on where you strike them:

  • Snare Drum: Triggers independent sounds on the head and rim.
  • Cymbals: Respond to different strike positions for realistic crash and ride sounds. The crash cymbal also includes a choke functionality; grab the edge of the cymbal after striking to mute the sound.

4.5 Silent Practice

For quiet practice, connect the included headphones to the headphone output jack on the sound module. This allows you to practice without disturbing others. The mesh drum heads are designed to produce minimal acoustic noise.

5. Maintenance and Care

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your CAHAYA Electric Drum Set.

5.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe down pads, cymbals, and the sound module with a soft, dry cloth.
  • For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or waxes, as these can damage the surfaces.

5.2 Storage

When not in use, store the drum set in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The set features a foldable and portable design for convenient storage.

5.3 Cable Management

Use the provided loop straps to neatly organize cables, preventing tangles and potential damage. Regularly check cables for any signs of wear or damage.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your drum set, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
