1. Introduction

3. Setup

3.1. Attaching the Lens

To attach a lens, align the mounting mark on the lens with the mounting mark on the camera body, then rotate the lens clockwise until it clicks into place. Ensure the camera is powered off before attaching or detaching lenses.

3.2. Inserting the Battery and Memory Card

Open the battery chamber cover on the bottom of the camera. Insert the EN-EL25a battery with the correct orientation until it locks into place. Insert an SD memory card into the card slot until it clicks. Close the battery chamber cover.

3.3. Initial Settings

Upon first power-on, the camera will prompt you to set the date, time, and time zone. Follow the on-screen instructions using the multi-selector and OK button.

The mode dial on the top of the camera allows you to select various shooting modes:
