Operating Instructions
Adjusting Height
The VEVOR HFK-9270 offers adjustable handlebar and knee pad heights for personalized comfort.
- Handlebar Height: Adjust the steering column height between 32.9 and 40.8 inches (835 - 1036 mm). Loosen the quick-release lever or knob on the handlebar post, raise or lower to the desired height, and then firmly secure the lever/knob.
- Knee Pad Height: Adjust the knee pad height between 17.5 and 22.4 inches (445 - 570 mm). Locate the adjustment mechanism below the knee pad, typically a pin or lever. Adjust the height so your injured leg is comfortably supported and your healthy foot can easily propel the scooter. Secure the adjustment mechanism.

Braking System
The scooter is equipped with a dual rear braking system for safe stopping and control.
- Engaging Brakes: Squeeze the hand brake levers on the handlebars to slow down or stop the scooter.
- Parking Brake: To engage the parking brake, squeeze the brake levers and push down the small locking tab on the lever. This will lock the brakes, preventing the scooter from moving when stationary. To release, squeeze the levers again.

Maneuvering
Propel the scooter by pushing off with your healthy foot. Steer by turning the handlebars. Practice in a safe, open area before navigating in more confined spaces.

The VEVOR HFK-9270 features a foldable design for convenient storage and transport.
- Engage Parking Brake: Ensure the parking brake is engaged for stability.
- Lower Handlebar and Knee Pad: Adjust both the handlebar and knee pad to their lowest positions.
- Fold Frame: Locate the folding mechanism on the main frame (often a lever or button). Activate it and carefully fold the scooter. Ensure all parts are clear of pinch points.
- Secure Folded Position: Once folded, ensure any locking clips or straps are engaged to keep the scooter in its compact form.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe down the frame and knee pad with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Wheel Inspection: Periodically check the wheels for debris, wear, or damage. The solid wheels do not require inflation.
- Brake Check: Test the brakes regularly to ensure they are functioning correctly and provide adequate stopping power. If brakes feel loose or ineffective, consult a qualified technician.
- Fastener Check: Ensure all bolts, screws, and quick-release levers are tight and secure.
- Storage: Store the knee scooter in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
Troubleshooting
- Scooter feels unstable:
- Ensure all frame locking mechanisms are fully engaged.
- Verify handlebar and knee pad posts are securely tightened.
- Check for loose wheels or damaged components.
- Brakes are not effective:
- Inspect brake cables for damage or fraying.
- Ensure brake levers are fully functional and not obstructed.
- If issues persist, professional adjustment or repair may be required.
- Difficulty folding/unfolding:
- Ensure all adjustment levers (handlebar, knee pad) are loosened before attempting to fold.
- Check for any obstructions or debris in the folding mechanism.
