5. Setup and Connection
Follow these steps to safely connect the charger to your battery:

- Connect Positive Clamp: Attach the RED (+) charger clamp to the POSITIVE (+) battery terminal.
- Connect Negative Clamp: Attach the BLACK (-) charger clamp to the NEGATIVE (-) battery terminal.
- Connect to Power: Plug the charger's input power cord into a standard AC power outlet.
- Power On: Turn on the charger using the power switch (if applicable). The LED display will illuminate.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Selecting Battery Type and Charging Current
After connecting the charger and powering it on, the display will show the current battery status. You may need to select the appropriate battery type and charging current:
- Battery Type Selection: Press the "Battery Selection" button to cycle through the available battery types (LiFePO4, GEL, AGM, STD) until the correct type for your battery is displayed. Note: This charger is not compatible with 24V LiFePO4 batteries.
- Current Selection: Press the "AMPS" button to choose the desired charging current (10A, 20A, or 40A for 12V batteries; 10A or 20A for 24V batteries). The charger will automatically adjust the current based on the battery's state and selected voltage.

6.2. 6-Stage Smart Charging Process
The charger utilizes a fully automatic 6-stage charging process to ensure efficient and safe charging, and to prolong battery life:
- Soft Start: A gentle initial charge to prepare the battery.
- Bulk Charge: Charges the battery at the maximum selected current until it reaches approximately 80% capacity.
- Absorption: Charges at a decreasing current to bring the battery to 100% capacity.
- Battery Test: Monitors the battery to ensure it holds a charge.
- Recondition: A special mode to recover deeply discharged or sulfated batteries.
- Float: Maintains the battery at full charge with a low, constant voltage, preventing overcharging. The charger automatically turns off when fully charged and restarts if the voltage drops.

6.3. Repair Mode (0V Start)
If a battery is deeply discharged (down to 0V) or has not been used for a long time, the repair mode can be used to attempt to revitalize it. Long press the "Repair Mode" button to activate this function. The charger will attempt to desulfate and repair the battery, allowing it to accept a charge again.

6.4. Temperature Compensation
The charger features intelligent temperature compensation, optimizing charging parameters based on the ambient temperature. This ensures safe and effective charging in both hot and cold climates, preventing overcharging in summer and undercharging in winter.
