5. Setup & Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the performance and safety of your range hood. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified technician.
5.1 Pre-Installation Checks
- Ensure the mounting surface is structurally sound to support the weight of the range hood.
- Verify that the electrical supply meets the unit's requirements (110 Volts).
- Determine whether you will use ducted or ductless (recirculating) installation. Charcoal filters are required for ductless operation and are sold separately.
5.2 Mounting the Range Hood
Use the provided drilling template and mounting brackets to accurately mark and drill holes on the wall. Secure the main mounting bracket firmly to the wall studs or with appropriate anchors. Carefully lift and hang the range hood onto the installed bracket.

5.3 Ducting Connection
For ducted installation, connect the flexible venting pipe to the range hood's exhaust outlet and extend it to the outside. Ensure the pipe is fully extended and has minimal bends for optimal airflow. For ductless installation, install the charcoal filters (sold separately) and ensure the air is recirculated back into the kitchen through the chimney vents.

5.4 Chimney Cover Installation
Install the adjustable upper and lower chimney covers over the venting pipe, securing them to the wall and ceiling as per the detailed instructions in the included user manual. This provides a finished look and conceals the ductwork.
5.5 Electrical Connection
Connect the range hood to a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the power supply is off during connection. Refer to local electrical codes for proper wiring procedures.
