1. Introduction

The Gedsffati HD11-CG is a combined gas and carbon monoxide (CO) detector designed for home use. This device continuously monitors levels of carbon monoxide and combustible gases such as natural gas, LPG, methane (CH4), ethane (C2H6), propane (C3H8), and butane (C4H10). 2.1 Carbon Monoxide Hazard

Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and toxic gas. Even when mildly poisoned, people may experience symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, palpitations, nausea, vomiting, limb weakness, and even brief fainting. In addition to worsening mild poisoning symptoms, moderate poisoning may also result in coma or collapse. Inhaling high concentrations of carbon monoxide can cause varying degrees of poisoning symptoms, endangering the brain, heart, liver, kidneys, lungs, and other tissues of the human body, and even leading to electrocution-like death.

2.2 Combustible Gas Hazard

Natural gas is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic, and non-corrosive gas. Methane poses no harm to the human body, but it is a suffocating effect.

  1. When natural gas leaks, it emits toxic gas carbon monoxide, which can make people feel dizzy. Disgusting, in severe cases it can lead to poisoning and death.
  2. When the concentration of natural gas leakage reaches 100%, there is a risk of suffocation for humans. If the concentration of natural gas in the air reaches 10%, people will experience poisoning reactions in this environment.

2.3 Smoke Hazard

Thick smoke contains a large amount of harmful particles, such as carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, etc. If smoke is inhaled during a fire, it can irritate the respiratory mucosa and cause symptoms such as coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. Inhaling too much thick smoke may also cause damage to the nervous and cardiovascular systems.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Initial Setup

  1. Plug In: Insert the detector directly into a standard wall outlet. The device will power on automatically.
  2. Self-Test: Upon initial power-on, the device will perform a self-test. You can also manually initiate a self-test by short pressing the power button. A green light indicates normal operation.
  3. Battery Charging: The built-in 2000mAh lithium battery will begin charging when the device is plugged in. This battery provides approximately 18-20 hours of backup power in case of a power outage.

  1. Method A: Short click the power button to start a self-test.
  2. Method B (CO only): Use a smoky cigarette to approach the detector.

    NOTE: Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and non-toxic gas that is harmful to the human body. Before use our CO detector, we can take this detector to approach the smoke generated by unburned paper or cigarettes, the CO value will change, and the alarm will sound "di di di di" when reaching the alarm value. Please do not test it by car exhaust and burning gas in open areas, as too low CO values will not trigger sensor operation.

6. Troubleshooting

If your Gedsffati HD11-CG detector is not functioning as expected, refer to the following common issues and solutions:
