2. Important Safety Information

Please read all safety information before installing or using your new water filter. Failure to follow these instructions could result in property damage or personal injury.

  • Use this filter only with potable (safe to drink) water.
  • Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
  • Ensure the filter is installed correctly to prevent leaks.
  • Flush the filter for 3-5 gallons (approximately 15-20 liters) after installation to remove air and carbon fines.
  • Replace the filter at the recommended interval to maintain optimal performance and water quality.

3. Installation Guide

Before Installation:

  1. Locate your refrigerator's water filter compartment, typically inside the refrigerator or in the base grille.
  2. Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator.
  3. Twist the old filter counter-clockwise to remove it. Some water may drip out, so have a towel ready.
  4. Remove the protective cap from the new PERCOLA PCL-67 filter.

Installation Steps:

  1. Align the new filter with the filter housing.
  2. Insert the filter into the housing and twist it clockwise until it locks into place. You may feel a slight resistance.
  3. Turn the water supply back on.
  4. Run water through the dispenser for approximately 3-5 gallons (15-20 liters) to flush the system. This removes air and any loose carbon particles, ensuring clear, fresh water.
  5. Check for any leaks around the filter housing. If leaks occur, re-install the filter.
  6. Reset the 'Change Filter' indicator on your refrigerator, if applicable. Refer to your refrigerator's manual for specific instructions.
