Main Unit (Relay Box) Features:

Setup

1. Charging the Device

The main unit contains a rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery. Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided USB cable. Connect the cable to the charging port on the main unit and to a standard USB power adapter (not included).

2. Downloading the App

For full functionality and smart control, download the "Culina Tech Software" app from your smartphone's app store (available for iOS and Android devices). Search for "Culina Tech" and install the application.

3. Pairing with Your Smartphone (Bluetooth)

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
  2. Turn on the CulinaTech thermometer main unit.
  3. Open the "Culina Tech Software" app. The app will automatically search for and connect to the thermometer. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.
  4. Once connected, the app will display real-time temperature readings from the probe.

Note: For optimal app performance and alarm functions, ensure the app has necessary background permissions and your phone is not in power-saving mode.

Operating Instructions

1. Inserting the Probe

  • Insert the probe into the thickest part of the meat, avoiding bones. Ensure the internal sensor is fully embedded in the food.
  • The ambient sensor should be exposed to the cooking environment, not covered by food.

2. Using with the CulinaTech App

The app provides comprehensive control and monitoring features:

  • Real-time Monitoring: View current internal and ambient temperatures on your phone.
  • Preset Cooking Modes: Select from various meat types and doneness levels. The app will automatically set target temperatures.
  • Custom Temperatures: Set your own target temperatures for specific recipes.
  • Alert Notifications: Receive alerts on your phone when the target temperature is reached or if temperatures deviate significantly.
  • Temperature Chart: Track temperature progression over time.
  • Timer: Utilize the integrated timer for cooking duration.

3. Using Without the App (Standalone Operation)

The main unit can also be operated independently using its physical buttons:

  1. Power On: Press the power button to turn on the device.
  2. View Temperatures: The LCD will display the current internal and ambient temperatures. Use the INT/EXT button to switch between displaying internal and external temperatures prominently.
  3. Set Target Temperature:
    • Press the SET button. The target temperature will flash.
    • Use the +/- buttons to adjust the desired target temperature.
    • Press SET again to confirm.
  4. Temperature Unit: Press the °F/°C button to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
  5. Alerts: When the set target temperature is reached, the main unit will emit an audible alert.

4. Wireless Range

The CulinaTech CT-dth01 offers an extended wireless range, allowing you to monitor your cooking from a significant distance. Environmental factors such as walls and interference can affect the actual range.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

  • Probe: After each use, allow the probe to cool. Clean the stainless steel probe with warm soapy water. The probe is IPX7 waterproof, meaning it can be submerged for cleaning. Ensure it is thoroughly dry before storage.

Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the main unit is fully charged.
  • No Bluetooth Connection:
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the thermometer is powered on.
    • Move the phone closer to the thermometer.
    • Restart the app and the thermometer.
    • Check if the app has necessary permissions (e.g., location, background activity).
  • Inaccurate Readings:
    • Ensure the probe is inserted correctly into the thickest part of the meat, avoiding bones.
    • Verify the ambient sensor is not covered.

  • App Alarms Not Working:
